  3. Let me make it/this clear/perfectly clear. Every politician, every interview, every day.
  4. For any Sydders bounders who might be loitering in the vicinity it's perfectly obvious to me what happened. Mick M is a huge fan of 80s pop and routinely ends his posts with random names of groups from the period. On this occasion he went to throw in T'Pau but accidently hit the 'k' instead of the 't'. Any easy miskate to make. So all is fine here in ED, morale has never been higher.
  5. I see it left you unmolested Waynetta. It was a 70s ad for Wonderloaf, from memory the gist was a head baker inspecting loafs, takes a shine to one in particular and asks who baked it. On being told it was Cyril he turned to camera and uttered the line 'Nice one Cyril' and thus a legend was born. Give it a while and someone's bound to post a link to it.
  6. Nice One Cyril. Ad slogan, catchphrase, football chant and pop single. This one took the nation if not by storm then certainly roughly over the kitchen table.
  7. Moos, Mick M, pull youselves together, it's this sort of dissent in the ranks that those Sydders bounders will be looking to exploit. United front, people, united front!
  8. Love Minus Zero (No Limit) - Bob Dylan
  9. This thread has been locked.
  10. If I Can't Have You - Yvonne Elliman
  11. Rubbish! - His dad.
  12. Keep it quiet TT, I've placed a penny on LM's head, it'll drop soon enough.
  13. Can't Get You Out Of My Head - Kylie And Her Bottom
  14. Ruddy 'ooligans.
  15. LM, on the 'plane, did Aswad turn around? If so what did you say to them?
  16. Ah the old 'H' guitar. You want to do something about that cough WMTD.
  17. Sadly the great Danny Baker appears to have ruined SM for any other radio presenter. I know that's the case for me. Sadly I don't get to listen to him much these days. All I've got is my Platinum Club membership number now.
  18. Hand on heart Giggi no googling. AJM, I used to unsuccessfully stalk Pete Townsend, their Ramport studio was in the road I lived in in Battersea, and I would always buzz the intercom when I was passing in the small hours. I would get various replies when enquiring as to whether PT was on the premises ranging from 'f*ck off' to one amiable cove inviting me in to share a share a beer on a few occasions. According to him Pete was a 'right moody sod', so perhaps better all round this excitable fanboy didn't get to meet him.
  19. Hello my darlings (not sop long ago--Charlie Drake
  20. Cheers WMTG, I'll have Ian Hunter's age please.
  21. IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!!!
  22. AJM, I trust you enquired whether or not he had picked his feet in Poughkeepsie.
  23. Don't Go Down The Coal Mine Father (You've Got enough Slack In your Pants) - Harry 'Dabbers' Dabney
  24. Don't Stop - Fleetwood Mac Anyway leave FJD alone, occasionally it's been known for the odd made up song and band. But frankly some of the 'folky' stuff he puts on here could be invented for all I know. I'll remedy this to an extent by buying that Electric Eden book and studying it closely.
  25. I once exchanged a shirt for Mickey Dolenz. The one he purchased originally was too small for him. The dopey sod. Anyway he came in, I put the originally purchased shirt back in stock, supplied him with a new one of apt size and altered his original receipt to reflect the updated transaction. And I altered it good. Although at the time I didn't use the phrase "Drummers from The Monkees, I sh!t 'em" I kinda wish I hadda. Still.
