I agree about that time constraint otherwise these things can go on and on. Or we could give each game an egg timer so every go is timed. Are we playing strict challenging rules? I have a copy of the Official Scrabble Words that's a few years old. Maybe Tuesday 8 May at 8pm could be the inaugural meet? will Clockhouse be open then? hows everyone fixed for that date. It doesnt clash with the WI does itI?

I agree Secret History and We need to talk about Kevin are both great. I just read Stef Penny- The tenderness of Wolves which was fantastic. And if you like Iain M Banks sci fi, which I do....then you HAVE to try 'Perdido St Station' and 'The Scar' by China Mieville. Rocking good Sci Fi.

I went in there with my small children and one of them weed all over the floor. The staff were very helpful and not unfriendly in fact they acted like it wasnt a problem. And they cleared it up. I think I might try this as a litmus test for friendliness around ED. How do staff react to child weeing on floor.

the Saturday Guardian has the best crossword in the known world. Although I am completely stuck on the bank holiday special. I try to be as insipid as possible most of the time. But I never realised that working in a particular job could make you anaemic. Did you know that in other parts of the country they dont use the cellophane and you can sneak the guide (or the crossword) out of the 7-11 undetected.

i'm with you panda boy I really hate it makes me want to roar a mighty roar. especially on a 4 way junction eg northcross crystal palace upland rd. just turn it off when you get in the car. then you wont answer it!

Well I still like the Gossip regardless of the balaclava. they're young n foolish is all. I'm glad we all agree about Johnny Borrell but the Killers are actually good. Not the same. Also James were a great band. I sat down at their gigs with all the rest. If we're allowing Northside then surely we can let a little Come Home in?
