  1. I saw a sold Foxtons sign on Barry road today
  2. My daughter is starting Heber in January. I really liked it when I looked round. The head is great. They have an open day next Thursday morning. A few years ago, everyone rated Goodrich over Heber, so they have had to work to get their current status. So they are working at it still and not complacent. which is great. They also treat you like they actually want you and your child, other schools which have had a good rep for a long time can be a bit 'dont call us, we'll call you' about the whole thing. Equally I have heard good things about Goodrich and I know quite a few kids there. They are getting a new head very soon I think, maybe next Sep, so that will change things too.
  3. Velma is the brains of the whole outfit. Without her powers of the deduction all the monsters would still be at large. True, the glasses losing does come up on more than one occasion. But all superhero types have a flaw.
  4. deBARRed
  5. White witch looks good. but if you decide on Trinity from Matrix I have the coat and shades if you PM me I might be able to sort you out. Or a really flattering one I think is Cleopatra. Loads of eye makeup, glam hair and some kind of posh dress will do it.
  6. but what price our fruit and veg?
  7. but the shop is a good destination if you require Sugar, Coriander or Halloween Egging ingredients.
  8. I think it's a great surgery. Lovely midwife. Desk staff sometimes a bit grumpy though.
  9. Yes DaveR totally agree, it's all just a mirage created by those snake oil merchants but seriously now, does anyone else have any thoughts on the lyrics to Bleeding love?
  10. I am mildly obsessed by her current number one. Not normally my cup of tea at all cant stand Carey, Houston etc.... but I am fascinated by the slightly dark and almost meaningless lyrics. So meaningless that they sometimes seem quite philosophical. Either that or I am getting old and the company of small children has made my brain start to dissolve. and she does give good warble.
  11. Are the two groups YM (i'm assuming yummy mummies) and 'alternative people' mutually exclusive?
  12. It is definitely one of the worst names for a shop ever, although is that just cos it's french? should they change it to Jojomummybaby? no that's worse I think but Catgirl is right....the maternity is MUCH cheaper than loads of places which try to make you pay 'designer' prices on clothes that you can wear for 3 months out of your whole pregnancy. You have to get pregnant about 10 times before you should consider buying those. Now that's obscene. and Snorky I agree with you to some extent. BUT the kids clothes are not that expensive- not compared to Biff in Dulwich Village or even any of the baby stuff in ED. And they dont make them in sweat shops like Primark and Top shop. They are comitted to sustainibility etc....you can read about it in the website anyway. I'm starting to sound like I work for them! And as is so much discussed on this forum there's definitely a market for new parents round here. Finally-Please dont use this shop as ANOTHER reason to have a go at parents, particularly mothers. Too too predictable.
  13. Very good Muttley. But spelling like that gets challenged on the scrabble board. Altho not in the virtual world. I cant make tomorrow night again though.
