  1. Hallo, I am the public Governor for Kings College Hospital for Southwark Central which includes East Dulwich. My role is to represent local members of the trust and also local residents. So if you have any feedback on the hospital's performance, either positive or negative, whcih you would like me to take forward, please do contact me. it is only through feedback from the people that use the service that the hospital can know how they are doing, what needs praising and what needs changing. Pam
  2. They were working when I passed by at 10.30 one evening
  3. Hallo I am a public governor for King's, representing the Southwark South constituency. I am obviously taking note of this thread and threads like it. But if you wish to contact me personally about anything to do with your experience-good or bad- of the hospital please do via a pm (and then I can give you my phone details.) Governors are there to represent the members of the Foundation Trust but also, under new legislation, the public from their constituency, so please do get in touch so I can take your issues forward.
  4. Hallo I'd be interested but it seems we are getting to be too many?
  5. Its a question of judgement. You SHOULD enter the box if you are turning right if you can see you will be able to get out of it. If there is a chance you will be stuck there, don't enter box.
  6. Did I miss the celebrations on the forum for a right hand filter at the juntion of East Dulwich Road and Peckham Rye. Used for the first time today and felt so much safer.
  7. Actually says "suspect found by unit's lawful occupier"
  8. oimissus...what a horrible star to your post. How can you say, about someone you know nothing about, "you don't sound that nice" Maybe you should keep that sort of opinion to yourself. Your post had some useful things to say but the beginning leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.
  9. My sympathies. A couple of thoughts. It won't help the noise from upstairs but it may make you less angry to realise that un-soundproofed floors make everything sound terrible and she may not be making the noises purposly to upset you. Firstly it is very hard for people to change the way they walk and if she has a heavy footfall she has a heavy footfall. I used to live below an enormous rugby player and his petite girlfriend, and it was her I could hear because of the way she walked which she could do nothing about. The smallest thing can be magnified-I once sat through an hour of a thudding on my ceiling and finally knocked on the door to ask them to stop-they were mystified and said they were doing nothing to make a noise. In fact they were ironing, using a wonky ironing board, and everytime it wobbled my ceiling thudded. The above may help your blood pressure but not the noise, which I know is somehow very intrusive when from above. Would it be at all worthwhile asking your landlord if they would consider soundproofing? It can be done from your flat and helps enormously/
  10. Sometimes the forum can be annoying but with threads like this it is a witty delight!
  11. Nunhead cemetery
  12. Canada Geese taste awful! Tough and fishy.
  13. or if you ring them to come and take it away they will but charge ?40. There is an old thread about the subject
  14. What a thoughtful thought.
  15. I completely disagree about noise during the day. Hearing another persons noise can be completely soul destroying what ever time of the day or night it is. The council's guidelines are that your music should not be able to be heard outside the boundaries of your property and that makes perfect sense to me.
  16. I do feel ashamed of my curmudgeonly reaction! Happy birthday Lucy
  17. it is an openhouse as part of the Dulwich festival decorated by street artists
  18. I think Chase Dulwit's post is unnacceptable. This kind of personal abuse should not happen. Can admin do something about this?
  19. See post a couple of days previous to this entitled "Aggressive and Dangerous Cat" Sounds the same?
  20. I'm glad this post mentioned noise outside as last summer I was driven mad in my garden last year, by thumping music and I am hoping the noise team will deal with that as well (though I am hoping even more that it doesn't happen again this summer)
  21. yes-sorry-from ED to London Bridge. I'll see what I can do about the reverse....but somehow I always think that I can so something about the time I leave home for ED but getting to London Bridge for a specific time is harder so I tend to wing it.
  22. A few years ago someone produced a timetable like this for trains leaving ED, and I found it incredibly useful. I have been waiting for that person to produce a new one.....but it hasn't happened so I bestirred myself. Please do a shout if any mistakes are found.
