Is this one of the bits translated in the King James version though (translated using the prejudices of those days) - I read somewhere that in the original text it's never clear that homosexuality is being talked about at all. Not that I'm going into a damocene conversion LOL,

"Sinnerman you'd better be praying" I love that song but I'm agnostic

singalto Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The police keep telling people not to walk around > using their phones... They advise us specifically not to text/walk but to stop, look around and use them against a building (if you text/tweet) - they are mobiles so people will use them outside. The thing is they go at people who look vulnerable for some reason often - so the usual confident walk, know where you're going etc. applies.

That's because we've always pulled through in the past but they might get a shock. I'm beginning to give up on stopping it and just preparing an looking at what options to take when it hits (I wish I could get that Irish passport :) ). Anyway the Dutch have a Brexit monster character now. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-47237371

WTO application rejected. We can still trade but it's like a grinder slowly taking away everything.

Printer Ink Cartridge Scam Why Ink keeps running out
JohnL replied to DulwichFox's topic in The Lounge
Actually 10 years ago a printer was important. I hardly print anything these days work or home and haven't touched my home inkjet for months. But I suppose people do flyers and the like :) -
So if EU offered passports for a reasonable price (say ?5K) who would consider it ? It's ?600K at the moment I gather :) OK for billionaires.

Goddard arrested again - surely as he's likely to re offend they shouldn't be allowing bail. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-47226110

But a "public health" approach to violence is being used in some places. Is it social health rather than mental health we should mention ? https://www.theguardian.com/news/2018/jul/24/violent-crime-cured-rather-than-punished-scottish-violence-reduction-unit -

Uncle you obviously live a joyless life (Copyright Daily Mail 2019). I'll still have the odd bit of bacon :)

At any one time there's probably a number of murderers on the street - if that gets to you it becomes difficult to live in society. Edit: what I mean is I could not go out for fear a brick will fall from a tall building and hit me. One of the worst crimes I remember was in Clydach, Swansea - and whether that perpetrator is caught now is still questioned. -

Bishop closes at 2:00 on a Saturday - I often used to stay until then (only going out at 11:00 PM mind) as I liked a late night pint. -

June 3rd will be the last day of The Palmerston
JohnL replied to DulwichFox's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There's a huge court case here and I don't understand it, but there's a 1989 30 year lease. That expires 2019 ? https://www.casemine.com/judgement/uk/5a8ff72c60d03e7f57ea919a -
Ooh Just realised Thomas Young (making his Wales 6N debut tomorrow) is (Only the good) Dai Young's son. Time flies. Good Luck to him :)

Wales making a lot of changes against Italy. Gatland likes to think there are about 30 players who can slot in to the first team without lessening it.

Redundancies at work today - can't say Brexit related but sad. I do think there is a trend now to roll back virtual teams and base like for like in a single country (the opposite of the trend a few years back .. why ? ) ... and why choose a UK that you can't be sure is truly stable and costs more - our stability was a selling point. When this is over - however it ends - there needs to be a clear out and some change at the top (and I don't just mean a change of leader).

The EU have said they'll help May on the backstop if she removes some red lines - but at present that seems to be the Customs Union. ALl this horsetrading will have an effect on Westminster and I'm still tempted to say rip up the book and lets start from scratch whatever happens with Brexit. Our system hasn't been good enough for this.

Will be dismissed as EU propaganda I know but "Asking the public twice: why do voters change their minds in second referendums on EU treaties?" by Ece ?zlem Atikcan LSE http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/europpblog/2015/10/19/asking-the-public-twice-why-do-voters-change-their-minds-in-second-referendums-on-eu-treaties/ actually more of a why than whether they should - but implies there's a democracy to multiple votes in complex matters to me :)
