  1. Police chasing a Peugeot on the A2 near Paris with hostages - things moving fast
  2. Police Chase going on now apparently and Stephen Fry giving his view (calling on the world to publish)
  3. I think people are much more careful about what they say about Islam than other religions - It's much easier for instance to attack the Old Testament and Yahweh - even though the OT is shared by Islam and Judaism. 4. Anyway another career threatened now - comparing Hillsborough - did he not realise ?
  5. But tradition in this country is you show remorse and contrition first He should have waited until after legal issues sorted - then if still guilty worked with charities for a year or so Loz Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ratty Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > cant believe some people on here think this > person is entitled to his job back so readily. 6. I think ours went on strike today "the destination of this bus has changed" - then out we all get at Elephant in the pouring rain. Next bus is full.
  7. What sort of quote is that from Harry - is it computer generated ? The R's boss said: "I think it's about getting a second chance in life. It's very difficult, people make mistakes, dreadful mistakes in life, but people go in prison or whatever they do, whether you've murdered someone or whatever, unfortunately a lot of them come out."
  8. I think he's going to have to show remorse and contrition if this accelerated 'appeal' goes nowhere.
  9. Still unsure if I like the Rye Lane Tescos - but definitely serves a use and is on a busy interchange. Also Morrisons seems to have majorly re-vamped it's Peckham store
  10. Same guys robbed a petrol station apparently.
  11. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9636345/sky-sources-oldham-deal-to-sign-ched-evans-is-off Not sure who 'Sky Sources' are but ...
  12. Some reports Oldham deal is Off.
  13. Just saw this .... "When a jury acquitted McDonald the pair celebrated by banging heads together in the dock. But Evans face then turned to despair as jurors announced he had been found guilty of rape. Judge Merfyn Hughes QC said: "You have thrown away the successful career in which you were engaged.""
  14. If he didn't admit guilt - why didn't he serve the full sentence I thought admission of guilt was a prerequisite for parole.
  15. I don't see offended - but I see some victim blaming and denial (it's a western conspiracy). In the FT now - wonder if it will be pulled. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/9f90f482-9672-11e4-a40b-00144feabdc0.html#axzz3O9RezBxH StraferJack Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "And I know people that were offended a few years > back by the Danish cartoon thing. 16. Maybe we should ask Mr Blair to pay the authors a visit. Belgium = Chocolate. El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > UK does very well at most stuff, we get punished > for invading stuff and selling everyone weapons. > We're also screwed on the climate because one of > the factors is the sustainability of countries' > demands on their natural resources. 17. recycling them is so good - it always makes me sad to see an abandoned Christmas tree
  18. Is there buried treasure (like the knights templar burying the Ark) Perhaps under the EDT - or the Patch
  19. When I was younger we always noticed there were blackbird years and there were thrush years (and they were separate) - maybe there are sparrow years. edit: of course blackbirds eat worms and thrushes eat slugs/snails :)
  20. I did make a report (only anonymous on the website though). Someone has confirmed his behaviour and that it is only one guy (all the other people "begging" are passive and rather forlorn) - so he hasn't just targeted me. Just surprised others haven't noticed as he rushes up to you in a frightening way. Not even sure if the "beat" comment was made by somebody else with him directed at him when I think about it as I'd turned my back (as in he'll get himself beat if he runs at people) - it could be read that way and I'd be much happier if that was the case :)
  21. No - Walked past at 1:00 am today - harassed again - and a threat made. "you're going to get beat"
  22. looks like he's been told to sit there with a pot outside Tesco rather than be proactive (by going around and following people). Watching - everybody is avoiding/ignoring him at the moment. Knowing what happens at Clapham Common (by the cash machines) I assume that is allowed.
  23. I joined Netflix for the free month and watch through my PS3. Watched serials not films so far.
  24. Think it's the bus stops and betting shop and Tesco he's targeting Just happens to stand between our two entrances. Area is on a down curve at the moment with renewed whistling also- and I'm not mean - I often donate my small change.
  25. When I did give him some money he asked for more. I won't respond to aggressive demands - especially when he has made it obvious he 'knows where I live' - and has now 'relocated' there - hopefully not because I gave him a few pounds.
