  1. This thread is heading towards the bin I think :)

My mother swore this was true and it showed nature was going crazy. Nobody believed her :)
  3. Boring article on Erasmus and Horizon future :). https://www.universityworldnews.com/post.php?story=20200219101446923
  4. Actually maybe the deliveries will need to temporarily go back to plastic bags - I invite the guy in normally and we unpack from the box together - but not if I'm in isolation.
  5. sally buying Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > This morning teabags and pasta empty. > > Plenty of toilet rolls The Sun has told it's readers not to stockpile and then added a list, helpfully called "Food Stockpile Checklist"

Prefer kitchen roll for that - it's a better size and slightly thicker (or seems to be) edit: but maybe a bit more expensive (unsure) ?

  8. I've been reading too much about 1918 now and have convinced myself (against apparent logic) of a possible second wave. Anyway nothing wrong with being cautious - although not panicking.
  9. I suspect hand sanitizer (the dry type not the washing type) is being brought by chancers to sell on ebay etc.

  11. sending King Edwards bones back home (Edward I died before Bannockburn and Edward II wasn't really up for it but the English carried his bones around with them)

Working from home changes everything as I found last and this week - instead of finishing work and popping in the pub then bus, tube another pub etc. you feel like staying in.

I thought it was more that flowers are there for everyone not for a few to take home - so legal or not it's bad manners living so close to many others. If we lived in the middle of the country it might be different
  14. Do we pick it anywhere around here - I thought not as a few years ago the woodlands were stripped. You need a forest.
  15. Morrisons fully stocked - and rather quiet this morning. Hand wash still there but no proper sanitiser (someone asked and the manager said sold out in 10 minutes) I think people are buying to resell on ebay at a profit.

It's probably as I never make a list.
  18. and last week I moaned because the hipsters took all the ice for a party .
  19. Lombardy is being Quarantined.
  20. AWJ has apparently complained so he did go to far. Could be trouble for Mr Marler.
  21. 5 extra points for everybody for Marlers grab of Alun Wyn's junk (this could go one of two ways as Marler is liked in Wales these days) https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/joe-marler-alun-wyn-jones-17883045

Camus' La Peste - is that pasta sauce ?
  23. You need the herd to be healthy to protect - it's no good having all the stuff if one or two can't protect themselves so spread it everywhere. Imagine if this was a 50% killer - our selfish attitude would put everyone at risk.
  24. If this happens people deserve what they get - if you take all the stuff and leave some of the population without - the virus will have a field day and those with the stuff won't be protected from it.
  25. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-51737030 "Denys Skirtach, 18, from Norfolk told the BBC his family spent ?80 on Wednesday stockpiling eggs, pasta, rice, toilet paper and canned goods." Have I got what I spend as a single person completely wrong :)
