  1. I don't know what Barnier means by the below - but it seems something like "pull the other one it's got bells on" ?I?d like to take this opportunity to make it clear to certain people in the United Kingdom authority that they should not kid themselves about this. There will not be general open-ended ongoing equivalence in financial services, nor other management or financial agreements with the United Kingdom,? Barnier said. ?We will keep control of these tools, and we will retain the free-hand to take our own decisions.?
  2. A Bridge over Troubled Water it'll be.
  3. Pence is off - talking nonsense. But I'm ok with getting out of Brexit "Pence told the US broadcaster CNBC: ?The United States is very disappointed that the United Kingdom has decided to go forward with Huawei. ?We are profoundly disappointed ? When I went at the president?s direction in September I met with Prime Minister Johnson and I told him the moment the UK was out of Brexit we were willing to begin to negotiate a free trade arrangement with the UK.?
  4. I'm actually hoping Brexit works even though I'm very pro remain. I've seen the UK being put to one side as if we're being abandoned by business - I want to shout "we're still here" sometimes.

The good thing is if you give your pin under duress they still refund (what else can you do)
  6. Seems to always happen during the Six Nations :)

Peak SNP? All > downhill now? An independent Scotland would not be run by the SNP just like UK post Brexit is not run by UKIP. I'd expect independent Labour and Tory parties of Scotland.

  9. And right wingers (and many brexiteers) call this the Anglosphere https://www.canzukinternational.com/ https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/10/24/boris-johnson-dreams-anglosphere-european-union-empire-colonialism/

Freedom of movement across continents isn't just a European thing https://www.theeastafrican.co.ke/oped/comment/Freedom-of-movement-Africa/434750-4704162-1013y1w/index.html Boris's group are trying to get freedom of movement with Australia and Canada instead of EU https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/sep/18/britain-will-aim-for-freedom-of-movement-deal-with-australia Australia not keen though. NZ and Australia already have freedom of movement between each other.

A bit of a character from a few years back with a very loud whistle and a predilection for directing buses - wasn't ever violent to my knowledge. But he was seen as bad enough that he was given an ASBO and banned when he broke it.
  12. They can get an ASBO and ban him from Southwark like they did Whistling Man
  13. Still not sure if the allegations against Bercow are true or a game by the government (Cummings) - it seems like there's no scope for a proper investigation. It's very easy to believe nefarious stuff is going on.
  14. However usually things we think are suspicious are just happenstance or coincidence. Now if the guy is seen a few times there - we can definitely say people will keep an eye out now.
  15. Well I'm always in by 1:00 AM so all the drunkeness and debauchery must happen after I go :). I did spend my teenage years on Swansea's Wind St mind which is one of those they always show in the papers on January 1st.

Trying to fit five ailments into a ten minute > I could go on Only one that could ever effect me is this - I suppose people have googled and think the ailments are linked - I'm always watching for diabetes signs and they are varied. GP's must know about ailment googlers though.

It wasn't just people either - My sister ended up having a really nasty accident on a rope swing in what I can only describe as a sink hole nobody knew about. We all got a safety lecture off the police at the age of 10.
  18. But But they've added Rick Astley and He's never going to give you up :) "MUSIC ANNOUNCED! @KaiserChiefs @JamesBlunt @Beverleyknight @rickastley @AllSaintsOffic and LOADS more joining us at Pub in the Park this summer"
  19. I was thinking about the warnings we used to get as youngsters over strangers - it was the 1970s yet they were concerned (I remember when I said I talked to a man on the beach and didn't understand why my parents worried about it). It's just that the prevailing thoughts at the time were children should be allowed to wander freely wherever we wanted without saying where we were going except "out".
  20. No 10 now claiming there is an "Inner Lobby" but no-one has ever heard of it before. Maybe it was a secret.
  21. Press just walked out of Boris's conference as he tried to impose selective briefing. Tried to divide the press into two groups outside Downing St apparently. Manipulative. "Around 10 journalists were on the list - while 5/6 of us were asked to stand the other side of the room. They were the Mirror, the Independent, the i, Huffington Post, the Evening Standard, PoliticsHome and the Times"
  22. Sniffer dog - I'm pretty sure they can be hired.

I really don't and I live there and walk down all the time. There used to be a vendetta between some of the Afghanistan shopkeepers and mothers of some of the local children that got quite nasty but it blew over. I know some resent that flats were built on areas such as the Heaton Arms but the students are just concerned about which pub to drink in mainly.
