  1. I have a child that is definitely high energy and I know exactly how you feel! Sitting down for lunch is impossible, visiting friends is almost impossible, we had an appt that lasted about 5 mins recently and within 2 my partner had to leave with him as he just could not be still, quiet or calm so royally kicked off.. We are in the park 3 times daily just to let him run around. He won't sit and read books etc and I just figure he is very sprited and needs to run off his energy. I will be starting him in baby football and baby rugby soon.. Ill give your link a read. X
  2. Ours for the last two weeks has been abismal, we complained and they are sending us an upgraded router
  3. I loved reading that!! I am a Type A mum for sure and as I was reading it I really related to it.. I think some schedule free time is definitely due.. thanks for posting x
  4. Hi. I am exactly the same and my son is 21m old! My family is in Australia. My partner's mum will babysit for us on a Saturday night as needed but I always make sure he is asleep before I go and that I'm not out late. I can't help but feel my face should be the one he sees before he goes to bed and if there is anything wrong and he wakes up. I have a lot of anxiety over getting him babysat so I feel your pain. X
  5. My son has a dairy allergy and we were told to avoid rice and goats milk and try oat, almond, soya (turns out he is allergic to this too) and coconut (kara i think it is called). all available at sainsburys. good luck!
  6. Mini strawbs is normally indoors between 11-3, outside of that he is outdoors all the time but lathered in sunscreen, hat etc.. x
  7. someone said to me once that there is nothing in the first 12w that you do in terms of routines / sleep etc that cannot be undone. 10w is a hard age as you are utterly exhausted and feel like you should be getting things in to a routine by then but if it feels too early then just wait a week and try again and then wait a week and try again. Do you have a shade thing for the pram for when you are out? Maybe its a bit hot and baby is just not comfy. x
  8. I know bright horizons up in the sainsburys car park does 7-7, their waiting list is long but if you get on it now and then actively chase them you may get a place. good luck!
  9. I used to go to Locale years ago weekly for a roast and I thought it was great but the past couple of years its been utter rubbish with less than mediocre food and even worse service and I am glad it is going. Bring on the new place!
  10. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, those people need to button their lips, it is hard enough being a mum with a small baby without people making you feel bad. I used to use a snooze shade with my son when he was quite young as he hated the sun being on him at all so no it is not cruel. Try to shake it off and not let it knock your confidence.
  11. 6 months old here. I'm catholic but mini strawbs was christened in our local C of E church as I'm not particularly religious but my OH is and is C of E. regardless of what they think at that church it is your choice. The catholic religion LOVES a bit of guilt, don't rise to it or let it bother you and have your baby christened when you like! Sounds like October is the first chance you will be anyway so just run with that.. X
  12. I only have one child (for now) so can't speak personally but my sister has a boy and a girl (18m apart) and they really are the best of friends, they play really nicely together so it can definitely work! X
  13. At peck rye and all trains are running fine.
  14. Got a text from a friend who is watching the news, before I hear out is it a nightmare on the trains this morning? Thanks
  15. I had it for 38w and the only thing that helped me was sucking on fruity polos and callipos - both obv temporary measures as once the lollie or ice lollie is gone the nausea is back but having a couple of minutes break from the vomiting / nausea is like heaven!, give it a try, you have nothing to lose.. x
  16. No but I wish there was! Im currently attending one near my work, sorry cant be of more help.
  17. Ergo defo. There is a trick to getting it on solo but once you have mastered it it is easy x
  18. No access to the footbridge from platform 13 this morning, now that is going to be a total piss ass for me, in the morning so not bad but in the PM when I am doing the race home to nursery that extra few mins will be the difference between making the train and not.. Moan over as its not going to make a lot of difference to the situation!
  19. We got a portable car DVD player from curries on sale, half price at ?70 and it is well worth it.. My son hates driving in the car for a long time so ths works like a dream for us.. As for toys not sure really unless someone will be in the back p,aching with the child? X
  20. 5.10 train left from platform 13 today at 5.15, there was staff on the platform to help people, not bad all in all..
  21. My son had prick tests for various things through his allergist at tommies and was tested for dog and cat, both negative thankfully (Im allergic to both) but it can be done. See your GP and get a referral. x
  22. thanks all! I look foward to the mayhem (NOT!) x
  23. Hi, no doubt I am we'll and truly behind the times but I heard an announcement this morning at london bridge that platforms 14-16 at some point in may will no longer in use. Assume we will still have the same trains available just at different platforms? Does anyone know? Thanks x
  24. So sorry for the both of you. I went through this last year and flew to Australia and decided to leave baby straw a at home, it was incredibly hard but tbh it would have been so much harder if I had of taken him with me. As I'd not left him overnight before I expected him to be inconsolable without me but honestly he was fine much to my annoyance! (Not really annoyed of course).. X
  25. missed that, thanks!
