Strawbs

Well the interviews went well, they were just agency registraions really.. there are two jobs I am being put forward for to see if I can get an interview (one of which is already in final stages but +7k so I want it).. They advised there really isnt much out there but things are showing signs of picking up.. Just been told redundacies not being announced today they will do it next week.. Jaws' passport turned up today from the home office (we had to request it be released as she is travelling)and after a whole host of drama filled phone calls / borderline tears it is finally here and she can go on hols so that is absolutely fantastic news! Besides being almost being run over yesterday it does seemed to have improved slightly.. I think the bottle of wine each night and a few cheeky cigs is helping! xx

TEd Max - all well and good to make the cars come to a stop but then if you are not in the crossing they dont have to stop so I guess you run the risk of being stuck on the side of the road and plus a part of me cant help but think they should just bl00dy stop, it shouldnt take us being so frightened of being run over we have to wait on the side of the road at a pedestrian crossing!

Surely it is a known fact around the world that if you are a driver and a person is crossing at a pedestrian crossing you stop!? Every morning at the crossing at goose green I literally feel like I am dancing with death as so many drivers just zoom through the frigging crossing! Just yesterday I was two strips in and a woman screamed through the crossing so then when I get to the other half of the crossing a guy almost runs me over! I am forced to stop (from fright I froze) in the middle of the zebra crossing and he finally stopped, I sh*t you not, about 2 inches from me.. So when I of course ask him what the hell was wrong with him, his response was, I couldnt see you as I was watching the road, I am on the frigging road you dimwit!!!!!!!!! After seeing he was then starting to get shirty I flipped him the bird and told him to go f*ck himself.. (not lady like I know but it made me feel better).. Not sure what the answer is besides perhaps some awareness campaigns but surely this is something drivers are already aware of and just not doing? I got my license in Australia so am happy to be enlightened by any UK drivers as to whether you are taught this as part of the road rules.. (6)

FYI for anyone needing rand LL post office didnt stock neither did PR post office so she had to order it in but they stock the more common currencies in small amounts..

Well my day today has not been as bad as the previous ones but a cloud is descending as they are announcing redundancies on Friday or next week - what a brilliant way to say thanks for all of your hard work given there are no bloomin jobs out there at the moment! got two agency interviews tomorrow peeps so wish me luck! Oh and for anyone who hasnt tried it, the wine is helping! x

A$$holes!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate BT!! Rosie that was so me yesterday by the time I got home I could have glassed someone! (not about the card but about hating everyone and everything).. 3/4 bottle of wine and a hot bath I started to calm down.. It feels good to rant!

As a friend said to me this morning 'Yesterday was the most Monday Monday I can remember in a loooong time' and I have to say I wholeheartedly agree! Roll on the weekend.. x

Hi all does anyone know if the post office on the lane does foreign currency? Anyone got a number for the actual post office? searching for a number on google to no avail yet (thought i had hit the jackpot on lordshiplane.something but it has the fax number listed as the tel number).. thoughts whilst I was trawlling google someone might know and then be kind enough to let me know.. x

had such a wicked night, absolutely loved that pub so much, will definitely be back there.. everyone was on form and so friendly.. drinks were flowing, space was great (thanks Georgia for booking it).. thanks so everyone who sang happy birthday to Jaws she absolutely loved it.. we stumbled out at about 2 minutes to 12 (and when I say stumble i mean it), had a very amusing stop at the kebab shop on the lane on the way home and a lovely hangover the next day!! cant wait til the next one.. I will be on my own for that one at Jaws will be sunning herself in South Africa! x

last night Mrs Strawbs was slightly poorly and was in bed super early so I was nicely tucked up in bed by 10.15pm (after wrapping her bday presents) and didnt stir til 7am, feeling completely rested and fabulous!!

I am totally in the camp of no exes.. I think its odd that wife 1 wants to even come to the wedding, whilst I respect that W1 and soon to be hubby are still mates its just all a little wierd and how disrespectful to W2!! W2 needs to stand her ground on that one for sure.. As for the party I would have done exactly what W2 did and not gone whether it is viewed as right or wrong, exes are exes for a reason and I as much as I completely get my better half has had a past, as far as I am concerned if the two of them have had sex I dont want to be in that company and dont particularly want the visual images that goes with that whilst I am trying to have a good time!

thankfully ours havent got knicked but someone (and I assume the bin man) put one inside the other and now they are stuck and with all my muscles and might I have tried to get them apart so now there really isnt enough space for us all to recycle.. will have to get Jaws on to the council about getting a new one!

BB I totally agree with you on the recharge.. I rarely have a lie in my body just seems to wake up early naturally hence my lovely early bed time.. If I could be in bed earlier than 10.30 I so would but my better half would have something to say about it.. :( Damn those late to bedders!! ;-)
