  1. A friend of mine lives on that road and she thinks it is 9.30.. I would say 10 to be safe.
  2. I have a big amp at my place too (cant remember what it is called) with lots of speakers to go with it.. Due to the size of the current flat the amp is used as a table to put the wireless router and phone on, two of the speakers are used to put drinks on on either side of the sofa and the rest are in the cupboard!
  3. 1) I post on 3 forums 2) I recently purchased a star wars tshirt and love it 3) I am a bit of a secret sci fi lover.. Sometimes on the weekends when I am flicking through the channels and land on a sci fi I tell Mrs Strawbs (who is normally on the laptop) that there just isnt anything on and we will just have to do with this whilst I secretly hang on ever word! Cant quite get in to stargate though I have to admit. 4) Love films like harry potter and Lord of the Rings.. 5) I can think of nothing better than reading one of those books with all little tid bits of information
  4. Are you talking one with lights to stop traffic or just a normal one?
  5. We are a maybe for this one.. will decide closer to the time xx
  6. Personal favourite of mine.. "Special Ones" by George Isn't it funny how you never really screamed at my face, but your anger so unspoken and unchannelled permeates my essence to the point where I, Don't want to see you hear you, be anywhere near you, you probably think I'm threatened by you but your illusionary power doesn't threaten me, Actually I think it's kind of funny that you create an illusion that is a mirror, I don't appreciate you and I know that that surprises you I suppose you see that those who follow their heart always win, those with integrity have won the match before it's begun So rather than being kicked around, I'm going to kick you to the curb So rather than being pushed around, I'm going to push you away first So rather than trying to protect you, I'm going to cover my bases first So rather than trying to open my heart, I'm going to lock it with a key So that only the special ones, so that only the special ones, can ever get through to me Some can see beyond the barrier of threshold whereas others can't see beyond their sculptured mould, you could offer me nothing, you could offer me nothing that I need Do you think I'm asking too much? A kind of respect and trust that shouldn't even be questioned, how can I open my heart with dishonesty sitting next to me? I've honoured your honour to the point of embarrassment, but innocence in the hands of the guilt-free is kicked to, is kicked to the curb I was ashamed of my innocence, I was ashamed of my innocence but now with clarity I see that your bullshit is just not worthy of me So rather than being kicked around, I'm going to kick you to the curb So rather than being pushed around, I'm going to push you away first So rather than trying to protect you, I'm going to cover my bases first So rather than trying to open my heart, I'm going to lock it with a key So that only the special ones, so that only the special ones, can ever get through to me I don't want to be angry. I don't want to be angry. I don't want to be angry. I don't want to be angry. This is not worthy of me and now with clarity I see that I can walk away, I can walk away
  7. "One Way Ticket (Because I Can)" Standing on the border Looking out into the great unknown I can feel my heart beating faster as I step out on my own There's a new horizon and the promise of favorable wind I'm heading out tonight, traveling light I'm gonna start all over again And buy a one-way ticket on a west bound train See how far I can go I'm gonna go out dancing in the pouring rain And talk to someone I don't know I will face the world around me Knowing that I'm strong enough to let you go And I will fall in love again Because I can Gonna climb the mountain And look the eagle in the eye I won't let fear clip my wings and tell me how high I can fly How could I have ever believed That love had to be so blind When freedom was waiting, down at the station All I had to do was make up my mind And buy a one-way ticket on a west bound train See how far I can go I'm gonna go out dancing in the pouring rain And talk to someone I don't know I will face the world around me Knowing that I'm strong enough to let you go And I will fall in love again Because I can Well, I have walked through the fire And crawled on my knees through the valley of the shadow of doubt Then the truth came shining like a light on me and now I can see my way out I'm gonna buy a one-way ticket on a west bound train See how far I can go I'm gonna go out dancing in the pouring rain And talk to someone I don't know I'm gonna buy a one-way ticket on a west bound train Gonna have my breakfast with some pink champagne I'm gonna sail the ocean, I'm gonna spread my wings I'm gonna climb that mountain, gonna do everything.

  19. My work most definitely would not have thanked for me coming in on Monday.. I think it was a given that most peeps would not come in on Monday due to conditions, I think expecting people to walk 2 - 3 hours each way in the snow is ridiculous, I mean come one, its work!! Whilst granted some peeps like Annaj who are doctors, ambos etc will be needed more than ever so I can totally see why they would do it most of us dont have live or die jobs.. No one is having to take it as leave or being penalised and the people who did make it in are not being rewarded in any way shape or form.. All of us in ED still had no trains on the Tuesday so the journey for me was 2 hours each way and when I asked to leave a little early due to the conditions and potentially having to walk in the dark through the snow I was promptly told No you are in so you can stay the whole day which is exactly what people faced on the Monday when they got in so why on earth would I then trudge in? Anyway that's my 2 cents which of course only relates to me and my workplace..
  20. georgia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > According to BBC, only sleet tomorrow in London > but heavy snow on Monday again. Oh joy. Yep that's what I saw too.. Highly doubt there will be enough for a snow day though..
  21. given I can barely walk up my street without falling over and breaking my neck I dont blame nor mind the postpeeps not delivering.. there should be the option of self collection though at the local sorting office..
