  1. Thanks all, yes the after school club has a year long waiting list so thats not an option, at least not a viable one for September!
  2. has this been 'done' yet.... apologies if so! but would be grateful for your tips on how you manage school pick ups and drop offs when you have both parents working FT and no family help. i will of course investigate flexible working but my job is very much an in-the-office sort of job so its not ideal. how do you manage things?
  3. we always take our carseats with us - as we want to have them in ht county we are going to. is that worth looking into?
  4. yes, i have 2 there, and experience of all 3 rooms. they are kind and loving and its good childcare. they have dedicated admin support which makes a huge difference to my previous nursery. i highly recommend them. as with all nurseries you are best to have a look around and get a feel for the place though!
  5. you can do without, but i would have liked the cocoon and would definitely buy one if i had the option. i don't know if you are supposed to our not, but i had to strap mine in - he was a wriggler and i once found he had wiggled right down into the bottom of the cocoon (he had all naps in pram) edited to say i didn't realise they are so expensive though! a couple are for sale in the 'for sale' section btw.
  6. haha yes i bet we do. if i can't see anyone i will just stand in the middle shouting SWEET AS! CHUR! YOU EGG! etc
  7. great us too, also looking at 3pm.
  8. the boots range is good too (in the yellow packaging), and we also took the neals yard spray
  9. i hope you get it sorted, poor kid, i have virtually no sense of smell so i probably wouldn't even notice if it happened to anyone in our family!

  11. awesome. pencil it in kiwis.
  12. i am sure someone will be along with advice, but in the meantime i really recommend mums net due to a much wider audience - i did a quick search and found this and i imagine there are more http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/childrens_health/1686719-My-sons-breath-smells-of-poo
  13. Perhaps check with your nursery whether they do pick ups? Im in the same boat!
  14. yes good point re speed etc, i didn't have that problem but we did get a 'scoot-tow' which is a bar to pull them along. same as strap but rigid so helps if they aren't interested in helping you balance. also fab for jamming your bl*&dy fingers in. edited to add that my youngest did exactly this today, so i spoke too soon!!!!
  15. I have a bed to give away for which there are currently no takers. do you know of any charities, local or otherwise, who take furniture? I am aware of the 'tip' options and can do that but the bed is in good condition and I'd like to pass it on if possible. thanks in advance for any knowledge.
  16. yes i am still keen and still free on sunday the 15th, anyone else?
  17. definitely no seat, they will be able to use it without.
  18. we have the mini micro and its good. they are expensive if you are buying 2! but if they use them then they are worth it. i think there have been threads on this before.... edited to say i just searched and couldn't find one!!
  19. is it a pain to keep clean? thats the main thing that would put me off.
  20. we can't do either of those, but can always make the next one! we are free the sunday 15th may though...
  21. we have given ours an old digital camera, he goes through phases of using it. have you got any old digital cameras lying around?
  22. to be honest i think it petered out because i was supposed to organise it... but would like to join if someone more organised than i can manage it! we can only meet weekends though.
  23. i appreciate its an emotive subject. the forum is run by volunteers, if you have emailed then just be patient.
  24. suggest you email admin direct - you gave quite a bit of personal info about him and i suspect that had something to do with it.
