  1. Hi, I would contact Phil and Teds first. I had a problem with mine (also second hand) and it turned out to be a design issue and they sent out a new handle. It probably depends on how old it is and what the problem is. If it's a problem with auto stop brakes then definitely call Phil and Teds as that was my issue.
  2. it does, thank you very much - i think for our first one we will use an agency just because its so new. (unless anyone can recommend someone.... etc....)
  3. Hi, just reviving this thread as i have similar questions. those who pay ?100-120 per week, what sort of hours do they do? i estimate i would need around 25 hours per week which would be taking over from me in the morning and getting the kids to nursery and school, then picking up the eldest from school and looking after, and picking up the youngest from nursery and looking after both for about an hour until i get home. i would also be grateful for any recommendations of sites you went through. thanks
  4. they are cheaper though! we use ocado own brand for disposables.
  5. i think she means she doesn't want to buy faddy stuff or tat, stuff that won't last my 5yo has asked for playdoh, puzzles, games and we are planning on more hot wheels track for the 3yo
  6. if its a lino floor or similar then it does get slippery, its when they run onto the dance floor that it happens. personally i wouldnt.
  7. now found, thanks very much!
  8. we took one recently, it was foam and rolled up though i don't know if that makes a difference.
  9. no, it isn't normal, and your friend should speak to the nursery and find out what they are doing to change things. i will PM you my nursery as i recommend them, there is a waiting list though.
  10. same here - i don't think thats true at all.
  11. we don't decorate and we still get people knocking, it really annoys me.
  12. lol we don't personally do it. i think you are best setting up a few houses on your street for your kids to visit!
  13. i had a bee with a lascal maxi. the maxi has a bit more height clearance than the mini so you are less likely to kick it. i almost never kicked it (but i always wore shoes just in case! ouch) so i recommend the lascal maxi. (as an aside, i don't understand why bugaboo have designed the board to stick out so much. surely this would have come up in testing!?) edited to say i am average height, i don't know if that makes any difference
  14. we used Nick too. very happy.
  15. i think they are a great idea.
  16. lots of reviews on lakeland i think
  17. This thread makes me so uncomfortable. Its just different choices of words, and at worst its someone misjudging their audience. and its on facebook. just scroll past. but it comes close to sliding into the so common territory where we group women into made up groups like 'yummy mummies with their lattes and bugaboos' which winds me up way more than some calling me 'hun' ever would.
  18. i think you can take the pedals off a lot of bikes, so thats another option.

  20. i missed most of the open days and ended up emailing the schools, most put on additional days. in terms of how many to see / look at, i went to the 4 closest schools, i liked all of them, and then just guessed my other 2 schools as i was def in catchment for at least one of the 4. based on your choices might st anthonys be an option?
  21. hi, i recommend you just try it. i did it once, i loved it but its not a high enough priority for me to do regularly Carly was really nice and professional.
  22. i agree, worst case you end up with a bad stomach during labour! things that i think worked for me are reflexology, a sweep, and kerb walking (which sounds awful but its walking with one foot on and one off the kerb) i ate so many hot curries i went off curry (and i really love curry) having said that... tandoori nights is my curry house of choice.
  23. i think the made.com beds are nice, have you looked on there?
  24. we use a yoyo, and i think the babyjogger travel buggy gets really good reviews too.
  25. yes i would be interested, i will pm you my email address
