It sounds like the ED Picturehouse are damned if they do and damned if they don't. If they reduced prices so that they were more competitive with the Peckhamplex they would be criticised for taking away business. If the new cinema maintains prices in line with its other cinemas (Clapham, Brixton, Hackney) they are criticised for not being within everyone's budget. I'm really excited about the cinema opening and hope that it will put on events that encourage everyone in the community to get involved. Re the hoardings - do we even know if the artists were paid?

Great idea and really useful. . I'd also second the French House - new I know and with a more limited offering than some but I really like the food and atmosphere. Reasonable prices too. How about adding in Blue Brick Caf? - I love their food.

Likewise for Merrifields! He's done a great job of rescuing some of my shoes for me and I have been back to him several times.

If that hasn't promoted a response then I would definitely see a solicitor and discuss issuing proceedings / making a claim as soon as possible. The legal process isn't particularly quick and so I would start it sooner rather than later given the efforts you have already made in trying to sort this out amicably. That sounds like an awful experience. Having been through major building works last year I know how stressful it can be without the added difficulty of it going wrong. I would definitely seek legal advice and tell Dulwich Lofts that you are doing so. That might stir them into action. Good luck.

Another recommendation for Nicola from me! She came round to tidy up our garden that had become overgrown. Before starting work she came round to visit the garden and discuss what needed doing, before giving an estimate of costs and time. I thought her charges were very reasonable and lower than I had been quoted from others. The work was done within the estimate provided and she also fitted in some extras as well. At the end Nicola talked me through the work that had been done as well as suggesting how I could maintain it. She has also given me some useful tips for planting in future. I was very pleased with the work that Nicola did and wouldn't hesitate to recommend and use her again.

For those wanting to get to Denmark Hill buses are running from the Elsie Rd stop. According to the signs at the bus stops there are also buses running from Barry Rd too though might be useful if someone else could confirm this?

Dave and Andy who rendered my house come very highly recommended. It was a complete mess as it has been covered in stone cladding. Great news - Lucas was open today (I think originally their last day was to be Monday) and it looks like they're going to be open for a little longer - mid April was the date I was given today.

So disappointed I missed this but very pleased to hear that reaction has been so positive. I'm one of the people that regularly travels to the Ritzy (by car) and would walk to this one so I also agree with their theory re traffic. Fingers crossed!

Howdens don't sell to individuals but are trade only so you need to ask the person fitting your kitchen to buy it from there for you. You can of course go to their showroom and have a look at the kitchens but you need to be a business to buy from there.
