  1. Perhaps they were all searching for a lost kitten?
  2. Let's not keep bringing up this subject.
  3. Although I have no axe to grind with Nero in particular, I really hope they do get closed down. It is to do with the arrogance in thinking they were above the law and could simply drive a coach and horses through proper procedures. I know of smaller business locally which have had to bend over backwards and incur considerable expense to adhere to various types of planning, trading legislation etc and they are the ones least able to afford the additional costs - yet they have done so. For a larger chain that has deep pockets to think they could (as already mentioned) present Southwark with a fait accompli and just bulldoze the local authority makes a mockery of any type of consistency in the application of the law and other traders would be fully entitled (if this was allowed to go ahead) to say "why should we bother complying with regulations when others are being treated favourably on grounds of their scale?" I suggest a counter-petition is created in support of Southwark's decision to give these corporate bullies a bloody nose!
  4. Well said Keef. I mean, what if they come across a load of roaches or used baggies in your rubbish?
  5. I would like to propose that the 176 be renamed The Chunder Bus?
  6. Thankee, kind folk. I will have a very merry Christmas after all. Was a bit worried when they upped the tax on meths.

  8. Anyone know where I can buy white kerosene in ED or nearby?
  9. I thought at first that the title of this thread was an instruction! I remember getting the 176 back from West End a few years ago at about one o'clock on a Sunday morning so you can imagine the assortment of pissed up revellers on board attempting to make their way home. Well, there was one young lady about 18 or so who was sitting on the ground floor and was being copiously sick. When I say copiously, I mean copiously! It was like the little girl in the story with her porridge pot, we just didn't know where it was coming from. Her mates were tittering away with a mixture of horror and embarrassment as the puddle spread like an oil slick along the floor and the sight of other passengers desperately attempting to avoid the rising tide reaching their footwear was something I will never forget. I would have laughed myself silly as well were it not for the fact that I was not too far away from her and the smell suggested she had been eating dog-food or something like that. Obviously the driver had no intention of stopping to deal with the situation and Ididn't envy the cleaners who would have to deal with the mess.
  10. Is the foxy, dark-haired Polish girl in Budgens gonna be an extra? Will have to set my video.
  11. I too visited Specsavers in Peckham on one occasion and found the staff singularly unfriendly. I told them I thought their lack of customer service was rather short-sighted. They said I was making a spectacle of myself and asked me to leave. I told them they needed to focus more on their customers and left.

Such a grumpy old git! A friend of mine was having a haircut from him and he started out really moody and grumpy for some obscure reason tat I can't remember and this continued through most of the cut. At the very end, when he was showing my mate his newly cropped barnet in the mirror (and clearly thought he could angle for a tip) he turned on this ridiculously artificial smile and sycophantic attitude to replace the "I hate the world" manner he had been exhibiting a few minutes before. A miraculous, almost supernatural transformation, I understand! Needless to say, he did not get a tip.
  13. But how would we know that any snapshot isn't a fauxgery?
  14. Not sure who Mr P is but, on general point your are right except accidents will happen!
  15. A commendable decision. I must now learn to read to take advantage of it.
  16. I did try the oysters and they were very yummy. Also I am feeling extremely horny and have a very large hard-on so what they say about their aphrodisiac powers must be true!!! They have two types of oysters, one smaller wild oysters from something Bay (can't remember the name, all the blood has flown away from my head!) and larger farmed oysters from Scotland. Opened in front of your very eyes, a dash of lemon, drop or two of Tabasco and some slivers of garlic - down the hatches straight from the shell and Bob's your uncle! I would like to strongly recommend this consumable except the excessive breeding habits of ED'ers make me reluctant to do anything that would increase local libido levels!
  17. I don't know if it will help folk to identify it but it appears to have buckles on it. Does anyone know of a grey-furred animal with buckles? There can't be that many.
  18. I intend to buy a pen every day from Ralon until they sell me one that doesn't work, just so I can go back in, point at his silly sign and call him a liar!

  20. Why not ring them and ask for their number? I'm sure they'd give it out.
  21. I believe 'Pulling' is a situation comedy programme.
  22. Might make her an authoritative voice on flood defences though?
  23. At least she didn't mention squirting when she cums! Let us be thankful for small mercies! Amen.
  24. Bugger! Perhaps I should have bought a hat made from false fur then?
  25. Deserters? The Rats? Quislings?
