  1. It's a bit further to travel but Babur in Honor Oak does a Sunday buffet and it has a 5 food hygiene rating. Having said that, my favourite Vietnamese in Camberwell used to have a 0 rating but has nudged that up to a lofty 2 earlier this year! https://www.babur.info/our-food-drink/sunday-buffet/
  2. Space @ 61 in Peckham run by Shona is used by many groups. There's also a monthly networking event on the first Friday of each month where you can meet local businesses. https://spaceat61.wixsite.com/events
  3. Very much looking forward to performing this Friday at Bell House in Dulwich Village. Doors at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. As of Monday morning there are 6 tickets available: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/harpsichord-recital-at-bell-house-tickets-47505367834 Here's one of the pieces by Bach that I will be performing:
  4. Join us at Bell House for a harpsichord recital with local musicians Lorraine Liyanage and Alexandra Kremakova from the SE22 Piano School in East Dulwich. 5. The flying trapeze lessons at Ruskin Park are brilliant - we've been going there regularly during Summer and the rig is open until 2nd of September if you're looking for something to do during the last couple of weeks of the summer holidays. Here's some photos and videos of the lessons: https://medium.com/@lorraineliyanage/secrets-of-south-london-tlcc-flying-trapeze-school-in-ruskin-park-a59968c288d0
  6. The East Dulwich Business Club is a co-working space on Wednesdays hosted by Suzanne James at 57 Northcross Road: https://www.facebook.com/fiftysevenSJ/
  7. Children aged 10 and under travel free on Tube, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail and most National Rail services as long as you have an age 5-10 Oyster photo card that you apply for online. If you do not get the card, then they get free travel on tube, bus and trams but not on the trains. Age 11+ will require a separate Oyster card and it's free on bus/tram and a discounted child rate on tube/train. Without that card, I'm not sure what rate you pay. The cards arrive quite quickly but you'll need a photo of the children in electronic format and their passport number (I think, it's been a while since I applied for one).
  8. Phoebe is a fantastic babysitter - we have used her services for many years since my daughter was 3 years old.
  9. Lorenzo Ali comes highly recommended on this forum and has a studio in Dulwich https://www.lorenzophotography.co.uk/
  10. I'll see if I can get some more information about the waiver when I next go there. Waiver aside, it's a very safe activity from what I have observed (my daughter's had lots of lessons at different rigs in London) and a lot of fun for kids and parents.
  11. We've done lots of classes now and it all looks very safe - yet to witness any accidents as everyone wears a harness and is clipped into safety lines at all times. There are three instructors per person. The only safety concern might be that a child forgets to clip themselves in while climbing the ladder and could potentially fall but a parent can stand at the bottom and supervise.
  12. There are a couple of All Inclusive options in Marrakech with water parks - not too sure about evening entertainment. British Airways always feature Club Kenzi which gets good reviews - I've yet to try it though but Marrakech is a great place to explore. I went there in the Feb half-term and did lots of solo travel around town whilst my daughter was in the kids club.
  13. Looking for something a bit different to do this Summer? The new outdoor flying trapeze rig in Ruskin Park is brilliant. It?s suitable for kids age 6+. Having said that, my favourite Vietnamese in Camberwell got a 0 rating in Dec 2016 and no update on the Food Hygiene web site :o
