  2. Damn right LG. I have nearly ploughed into people there on a number of occasions now. I never go fast on our estate, rarely hitting 10mph, but the corner is so blind that it is treacherous. The local tories are looking at this I think, but we need something doing, however, yellow lines will just push the traffic nearer our homes so I don't know what the solution is. TARA (Talbot and Abbotswood Residents Assoc) have been looking at it). I just came home and nearly wiped out a mother and her two children. :(http://forums.clubrsx.com/images/smilies/driving.gif
  3. Some wee came out that was so funny!

  5. Sorry falcao if I have offended your London nationalism but there is a big world out there, some of it with green grass and blue water. A bit sad imo to live and die in the same town. But hom hum - each to his own! Hate's a strong word btw! But you carry on hating!
  6. Good post lozzy and precisely why I am leaving London before my lad grows up!
  7. And the behaviour issue is because these kids have been brought up by kids themselves. Ooh - I missed the "definitely not from East Dulwich" bit - wrong colour faces d'ya think? Eeek! I'd really better move away then!
  8. I think I am still in the dark. Unless we are referring to the fact that a great number of gang members in SE London are BME????? In which case I aint seen nobody pussyfooting around it really.
  9. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The liberal pussyfooting around a (the?) major but > unmentionable issue on this forum is hilarious Eh? Please clarify.........
  10. Keef Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- it just seems to be more news worthy > these days. Because they use them more regularly. Sorry, but I work with drug users and on the peripheary with gang members and the levels of violence and violent crime have increased hugely amongst the young.
  11. My wife gave birth at Kings on 20th Sept. Very very impressed. Midwife lead birthing ward which is excellent - take the tour when it is available (twice a week I think). Overall we thought Kings was excellent! Yes, the maternnity ward is a bit grim (6 beds to a room all with screaming new borns) but you can flee that pretty quick and get your little one home, dressed and off to the pub in no time!!
  12. Good riddance to those who want to leave > London..you are probably not Londoners anyway. Thanks for your kind words. For the record I am from Globe Town!
  13. A couple of places are taking my interest. Lancaster, where my wife and her family are from. Clean city, better schools, more relaxed way of life. Yes there is crime there but not to the level of London. I am getting to the point here where I cannot hold my temper anymore. It will not be long before I have a go at these gangs hanging around, and where will that get me? Shot or stabbed and in a filthy ward at Kings! Other options are the Holy city of Portsmouth. Where street crime does not exist because the locals run the city, or most favorably emmigrate to Australia!
  14. This is EXACTLY why I am leaving ED and London as soon as I have saved up enough pennies!
  15. Wanted to be an astronaut! Now I work with the homeless! Wish I was an astronaut!
  16. I think it involves children Tinagwee - you'd hate it! http://www.mfbb.net/reaper/images/smiles/tlab06.gif
  17. A few sensible posts here, I particularly like the suggestion of scalding children with hot liquids! ???? your post hits the nail on the head. There are lots of things that annoy me in pubs. Also I would suggest that it is not the children that are the problem particulalry, but the behaviour that they are allowed to get away with. If I ever played up in a boozer when I was a lad it was a slapped arse and straight home.
  18. Yep that's fine! Bet ya don't do it though!!!
  19. I have been to inis mor and it really is like Craggy Island!!!!
  20. That's what I thought Ant - surprised the first email did not say "Greetings in Jesus' Name"
  21. I think mine is cockles!
  22. Can someone let me know if it starts getting better cos I love fish n chips and used to love this place. With money as tight as it is nowadays I am not going to risk it until I can be guaranteed quality. Also - start doing gravy! PLEASE!
  23. I am guessing that the reason there is so many children in pubs is that there are so many children in East Dulwich. It is well known as an area for young couples and young couples tend to have children. I am also guessing that the pubs in places like Camden Town are not full of children. I guess what I am saying is it comes with the territory. Perhpas you should have some children - then you would fit in and not feel so alienated!
  24. When we disconnected our Sky they started charging us over ?80 a month instead of the usual ?40 odd!
  25. As a Pompey fan it has been an ultra weird day. Arry was evens to join the toon last night, then this morning he sparks a Pompey love in by turning them down and staying on the south coast! Just hope we beat the mackems tomorrow and cap off an odd couple of days! PUP!
