  1. I'd buy yourself a gun! Only joking, we are not far away in St Francis Place and apart from being chased by a gang of Youths about 5 years ago (there were ten of them ok) we have had no trouble. In fact the Youths incident was when we lived on LL!
  2. I once saw a ginger S**thampton fan in East Dulwich! It was the day of the S**thampton / Arsenal cup final which I think I watched in the old Forresters. A GINGER S**thampton Fan. UGH! Anyway, then I saw him again. A year ago (just over) In the Vale one lunchtime on 24th April 2005. He was crying. It was the best day of my life!
  3. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yes, La Toksvig was with a rather attractive young > lady last time I saw her. Perhaps she is her > girlfriend. Or someone else's! >:D<
  4. I am afraid I know the ED Toksvig connection, but am sworn to secrecy!
  5. I find the Vale good to watch footy in. There is usually a knowledgeable crowd in there, unlike the Johnny Come Lately premierirsed fans that tend to watch in other pubs! It's cheaper too!
  6. Bishop Bar girl! Phworrrr with nobs on! There used to be a girl working in the bishop who had an uncovered third nipple just below her armpit! Weird but strangely alluring! Not like Scaramanga! Please don't let Mrs Ratty read this ffs! I SAID FFS FFS! Peckham for the Peckish!
  7. The DIY shop is the NUTZ! I popped in there on Saturday and the people there were soooooooooooooooooo helpful and friendly!
  8. Anyone spending that money would need their heads looking at. I imagine the servic charge would be enormous too!
  9. Kate Ford has lived round here for years!
  10. Me too Jah! (Are you really Jah?) Always found them to be Excellent in Le Chardon!
  11. Mum's love Le Chardon! And Le Chardon loves Mums! Job done me old china!
  12. I used to have to get to Shepherds Bush from LL (next to Magdala), that was a walk to ED station, train to London Bridge, Tube to Bond St, then change and tube to Sheps Bush. There and back each day took about 3 hours and I HATED IT!!!!! Then I moved to a job in Camberwell and it was a 15 minute walk - my quality of life rocketed! Nowadays it's a 15 min drive to Lewisham and it's bliss!
  13. If I saw a bin outside someones house to stop me parking I would wheel it back and park anyway. When will people understand that they pay for their houses and not the space on the road outside it? As for me, I've got a driveway! I'm alright jack!
  14. I was gonna check it out, then found myself in the garden of the vale! Ratty has now used his once a week pub pass so I'll have to wait til next week now!
  15. Hmmmmm myself and my esteemed deputy manager may have plans - depending on what time we can escape work!
  16. Or wear a nappy!
  17. He used to drink in the Grove back in the day I think, along with Chrissy Boy from Madness and Bob Mortimer! And me!
  18. Apologies if this has been posted before but if you go on to google maps, click on "get directions", and ask for directions from New York to Paris, see what is returned in line 23! It uses up about 2 mins of a slow day so is worth it!
  19. Gary Glitter?>:D
  20. I cannot guess! I am on here a lot today as all my bloody staff seem to have taken the day off. All I have to do is the induction for my new trainee, but I have no one around to actually carry this out so I spent all morning walking round Brockley! I am a bit bored really!
  21. Scran / Scrannoy - Food! To Scran Up - to eat some food!
  22. Sod it, I will have a pint in there tonight - with my laptop!
  23. I have always wondered what Eggs Benedict is!
  24. I cannot understand btw why someone would want to take their laptop to a pub!
  25. Eeek Squeak, it's about time that place was done up! The wife and I went to have a quick shant there once and legged it when we saw the inside! It's near me too, and definitely on the way home so I might have to give it a go! Boring fact - I was once going to rent a flat opposite to this pub when I was a young man!
