  1. I have an N96 and it is fantastic. It is not a touch phone though. Touch phones are just one more thing to go wrong!
  2. only 2 calls so far at ratty towers, we have enough choc to sink a ship
  3. Rules is Rules - perhaps he was training to be a traffic warden!
  4. I have been on the phone to my wife and forbade her from leaving home with the baby just in case anyone spots her. Perhaps other partners can do the same so we can keep the streets free from the ghastly sight of a parent taking their child for a chilly walk.
  5. All over (lived hear since 1994). Come from Havant but lived in Southsea (Talbot Road, Orchard Road, Greyshott Road).
  6. Ed to LB, then LB to Charing Cross then a pleasent walk to Holborn. I used to do this every morning - it was fab!
  7. I was only joshing. I come from Pompey and am hankering after the old place! Good luck in your search! ED is fabulous. I would not live any where else in London!
  8. Ladygooner Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > wonder > what 'arry put in their half time drinks! Spin and Lies! I went to bed with the score at 4-2. I could not beleive my peepers when this morning I put teletext? Did Redknapp himself come off the bench to score a brace? ;)
  9. Stay in Pompey! You'll get shot round here, fireworks shoved through your letter box, random people knocking on your door asking for money to visit ill relatives, harrassed by the young gang members coming out of the new YOT office, harangued by the number of bugaboos, have to put up with screaming children in every single bar - day and night, swamped by SNUB bags wherever you look, get roped into repainting a god awful bloody mural and your cat is bound to get lost!
  10. I don't think you'd be very welcome with comments like that - move to Catford instead!
  11. Ladygooner Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I think its sad that Harry was booed at his > presentation in Pompey yesterday - after all he > got them the FA cup There were about 20 people booing out of about 1300. BBC put the mics straight by them. Sad really. btw Harry did not play in the FA Cup final. I am sure he will soon rewrite histroy to portray that he did though.
  12. I look like a fooking rat
  13. No mention of Keown at the press confernce so I amay have jumped the gun there! He's doing at great job at Arsenal I understand so here's hoping! Tony Adams confirmed as Manager of Pompey.
  14. Nearly. I think he managed the scum and never got them relegated. Someone else did that - can't rememeber his name at the moment ;) Bally also spectacularly saved us one year as well. One of the best escapes in history! RIP Alan. Pompey are announcing Adams and Keown as the new management team in an hour or so. Be interesting to see how they do. Joe Jordan is joining Kevin Bond at Tottemham with the Judas. So that's that settled then. Who's next for the chop?
  15. I think we beat scum away that season though so not all bad!
  16. 87/88 - we don't talk about it! ALAN BALL'S BLUE AND WHITE ARMY!

The Hitchiker bit in There's Something about Mary when Ben Stiller is being interviewed by the old bill - Hillarious!
  18. The worry I have is our finances. Nothing to do with HR tbh, it is more the reasons he left. He seemed to be indicating that the club is in financial trouble (all that stuff about having to sell the manager).
  19. Agggh so maybe I am a little bit bitter! :) Me neither (re Adams) I have a feeling this may be the end of my football club! :(
  20. Ossie Ardiles - the list is endless. In fact.... have they ever had a decent manager?
  21. I did not know that. Fancy naming and shaming the restaraunt?
  22. Bit more from saggychops....... I Love This Club "I'm happy - this is a club I feel comfortable at. I have a fantastic relationship with the fans, a fantastic relationship with the owner and with Peter (Storrie, chief executive). The players I've brought to the club, I've sold Portsmouth to them and to walk away having brought them here, when the club is doing so well, wouldn't be right" - Harry Redknapp, January 7. "I had no intention of leaving here. The job now is to take this club forward" - Harry Redknapp, January 12. "I'm happy here, people treat me well and I felt a loyalty to the club and the fans" - Harry Redknapp, January 12. "It would be difficult to sleep at night. You have to look at yourself and say 'the club's been good to me and I've got to pay them back'" - Harry Redknapp, January 12. "It was a difficult decision not to go to Newcastle, but I was thinking about the players who I had encouraged to come here, who I had told what we could achieve and I thought to myself, 'I can't have done that and then just walk away myself'. Newcastle is a fantastic club but I made the decision and I am happy with it. If I was 40, I might have gone, but I didn't want to be away from my wife and grandchildren. I also have a great team here" - Harry Redknapp, March 10. "We are not a great club in terms of stadium, training facilities and number of fans we can get in but this is where I'm happy" - Harry Redknapp, April 11. "I love it here at Portsmouth. I enjoy coming in here to training every day. I'll stay be here until I'm not wanted" - Harry Redknapp, May 16. "I've said this will be my last job in football" - Harry Redknapp, August 18. Big Fan "I was a big Arsenal fan as a kid" - Harry Redknapp in The Daily Telegraph, February 17. "I followed Tottenham, I trained there as an 11-year-old, 12-year-old so I know the history of the club. It is a big, big, club" - Harry Redknapp on The BBC Website, October 26. My Kind Of People "It's a disgrace. People chant filth, it's nothing to do with football. Some of the stuff that goes on is completely out of order" - Harry Redknapp on Spurs fans, October 3. "What are you supposed to do? Sit back and say nothing? We are talking about racist abuse and everything else thrown in. How do Spurs people feel when they get abuse? They have had lots of abuse over the years and have a big Jewish element among their supporters. Someone has got to make a stand and if Sol wants to we are right behind him. What kind of a nutter must you be to do this kind of thing?" - Harry Redknapp on Spurs fans, October 3.
  23. TF for that - just hopes Saggyface sees it the same! :)
  24. Jermain Deofe would have a job moving in January. Player cannot resign for the same club he left within 12 months. As Defoe signed for Pompey last minute on Jan 31st (as a loan of course) then any move for him by Spurs would be nearly as comical as selling all their best strikers in the first place. :)-D Not sour grapes though - just had enough of redknapp and his self publicising clap trap. Most Pompey I know (and I know a fooking lot) are over the moon he is gone because of his Southampton debacle (although they mysteriously forgive Peter Crouch :)) ) I am just gutted that it looks like Tony Adams in charge for us (nice bloke but sadly clinically insane!) As for keeping Kevin Bond - well the scummer is not with us anymore - last seen being hung out to dry for taking bungs ("everyone knows my boss likes a back hander") and being bounced out at Newcastle. When he was coach at Pompey he was actually only ever given the responsibility of getting the flags out! :)) In all honestly though I do worry that he will try and take David James, Sylvan Didtin, Diarra or Niko in the TW (although if reports are that he has ?20m to spend then Diarra and Niko are out of reach), but if he does then c'est la vie. I will continue to think of Spurs in the same way as I awlays have done - Southampton's equivalent in London, and Redknapp going there will only confirm the point. >:D< So, good luck with the worlds biggest West Ham, Arsenal, Scumhampton, Pompey, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Tottenham fan in charge. Here's some reading material for you Spuds before your next game :D :D :D (Hope I have put enough smilies in this post to indicate tongue in cheekery) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Broken-Dreams-Souring-British-Football/dp/074322079X
  25. Last week he said he was Pompey 'til he died! Here's hoping! :E
