    I sent a PM. 👍
  2. It came in the general Royal Mail delivery. If you go to that site you can make your comments known and you can tick which road you are on. I can't remember whether it gives you an option to show you are not in the area.
  3. Yes, easy to go to Camberwell perhaps but unless you complain they won't be aware of your dissatisfaction. The more who write in the better. Please do it. Thanks. (Speaking to a receptionist at a centre really won't do anything.)
  4. Just had a letter about the closure of Dunstan's via CCTV monitoring at school opening and closing times during term, from Mt Adon Park to the Goodrich mini roundabout. Comments are invited via a link www.southwark.gov.uk/school-street-dunstans by 20 March
  5. THe only tip I have is to email the people at Everyone Active and ask when, not if, this pandemic-applied booking system will be revoked, now that emergency measures elsewhere have largely been lifted. People book - if they are lucky - and then at least some of them CBA to turn up - hardly fair to others who have paid to be able to access the pool. CC the manager at the centre you usually use. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
  6. NOt a niche point - it is selfish and polluting to the eye and the environment. Clip them off, find out who the organiser is, and sent them to them. They may get the message, especially if you tell you you're letting the council know. Local newspapers are always keen on an enviro story...
  7. Yean, Scores, but you obv. don't get the "vibe"....! Ha ha ha Why can't you be like all the other middle-aged trendies and insist we have on-the-doorstep proto-festivals so you can avoid those tiresome carpark Qs and irksome portaloos?
  8. I agree - thsi idea reeks of tired groupthink (like a fair few public body proposals for "vibrant, exciting" undertakings).
  9. Do as you please, but also open windows on buses and trains (even on the Tube you can get a flow of air by opening the windows at the end of carriages). It is a simple way of making the journey a bit safer and generally a lot more comfy.
  10. I think this part of the infrastructure is dealt with by the council, which did not refer me to any other body when I received their reply. Perhaps they report it to the water board, but seeing as it is affecting the roads and pavements my first port of call would be the council. Either way, it is being dealt with.
  11. I reported the massive ponding/puddling at Adys/East D Road to Cllr McAsh and the enviro. services at Southwark. I got a reply pretty quickly so I hope it will be seen to. Stands to reason that if we have more episodes of heavy rain and wind, which dislodges leaves and twigs in any case which get lodged in the grids, then we need effective and repeated drain cleaning. Please report blocked drains to the environmental services at Southwark and give a clear location, ideally CCing your Cllr.
  12. Dunstan?s / Underhill 9am
  13. Renata - I think this is your ward: the electricity substation at the 63/363 bus stop on Forest Hill Road near to Dunstan's Road, so nicely and artistically painted, has been vandalised with large, red writing on two sides, at least. Please could you have it removed by the council o as to prevent any more happening, at least in the short term, and to respect the artist who spent so much time and effort making this otherwise ugly building a lot less so. Thanks
  14. A 10k run or a romp in a sandpit is not the same as two (or is it three) days of turf-churning, ear-thumping music and all the traffic and litter that goes with it. I can see why it is attractive to some and annoying to others but to pretend it is a run-of-the-mill event doesn't wash.
  15. Most of the hoardings covering up the one-storey shops/businesses that were there (where the barbershop is) on Barry Road to Peckham Rye are down. Interesting to see the old frontages, including those pasted, typed-up flyers that someone used to spend time writing and sticking to any available surface about ten years ago.
  16. Does anyone know whether any of the schools - state or indy - have an officer or at least a staff member whose job it is to look at traffic-reduction plans, etc.? If not that, then do they do anything at all to reduce traffic.
  17. Some people are not as highly evolved along the astral plane, L! Some people find it annoying and distracting because it is, not because they choose to make it so.
  18. In DV today, again, around usual peak hours (7.45--8.45 or thereabouts) it was like a Sunday in the 1970s. THe amount of traffic that is generated by people going to and from schools has to be massive. (I understand that some of the lack of traffic is also down to people who are on holiday and don't ferry kids to and from the many schools, state and indy, we have around here, but the schools really do have an obligation to do so much more to encourage/bribe/?? their pupils' parents to not using vehicles to get their offspring to school and back.)
  19. How about this - both the customers and the organsiation itself are teh problem and both can work to solve the problem! DOes that work for you? It does for me.
  20. well, if you know you are going to be charged for water use and continue to waste it, then that's up to you. (where you = anyone, not the poster of any reply here before anyone gets their knickers in a knot!)
  21. THe advantage is that you won't waste water. Using more than you need not only wastes the water itself but also the power needed to clean it up, etc. I think you will save money because you will be using only what you need and will be mindful of waste though I can understand that being told by Thames Water that it doesn't like waste is a bit annoying. (At least, though, this move is proof it wants to reduce wastage.)
  22. The sunroof is tinted to stop the bus getting overheated. Likewise, the roof will be painted white, like pretty much all TfL buses, to reflect heat from sunlight away. Windows open as well as close!
  23. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10510527/Sadiq-Khan-hikes-Tube-bus-fees-20p-blames-government-price-rise.html#newcomment Most relevant to bus-heavy SE22 will be the rises in bus fares and the daily cap.

I would like any replacement to start off with the mantra that policing is for all, and not deep dive into the ever-increasing, often competing and sometimes overlapping minority interests too much. (I tick a fair few boxes, so no need to take pot shots based on ignorance.) I don't want rainbow-coloured patrol cars, etc. more than I want decent training based on common decency and respect and/or police presence and interaction outside of when it is "necessary", ie. when a crime has been committed or there is a public order situation.
