  1. Anyone with a negative opinion of Starmer is well within their rights, and often correct But if you are going to demand some replacement his over a year into a landslide you need a reality check And if you went to suggest someone like Farage as a replacement (as polls indicate) then you have lost all connection with reality, credibility and possibly toilet functions
  2. Well, I’m not saying they are quite as bad as the Spanish Inquisition… but if you’re thinking along those lines you’re in the right area secretive, extreme and not a little mad sect within Catholicism
  3. I have no idea why some phrase from coronation street popped into my head when I read the article, but I ran with it!
  4. goodbye and good riddance https://www.thelettersfromleo.com/p/new-pope-leo-set-to-break-up-opus?r=1e7ix&utm_medium=ios&triedRedirect=true
  5. We were in the club by then, Ang
  6. Good fun that nice to meet a bunch of new faces as well as a few I’ve met way back when
  7. I was around then and am pretty sure the original forum admin produced these - possibly to tie in with the forum first birthday drinks I have about 5 of them knocking around somewhere Aha. Some more info here
  8. Am looking likely to make this my first forum drinks in what, 15 years?
  9. Absolutely correct. It’s a point I’ve been making for years now
  10. I don’t think as votes we get to snap out fingers and magic someone else into the position of prime minster. We’ve already had about 6 in as many years. Make it stop
  11. Once again. Worth repeating - it’s not that Labour can’t or shouldn’t be criticised but the reaction to everything being “is this the end for starmer?” Is such a symptom of a broken countr. He isn’t very good but he isn’t behaving in any outrageous ways, and we haven’t had 3 Labour leaders in between an election - so calling for one or saying the leader should be replaced is just hysterical the Tories record in power since Brexit has broken people’s minds
  12. Part of it will be U.K.s place in the world out of the EU, dealing with sociopaths in us government. It can ill afford to have a complete falling out with china but who knows Mostly what we are reading is the usually shadowy stuff from, shall we say, vested interests against Labour, without an awful lot by way of substance
  13. So this is all coming down to Trump crying and some wet British people with bees in their bonnets about starmer saying we must do what he wants? Trump is not the same as “our closest ally” he is in fact the opposite of an ally. He and farage and Russia are what we need to be fearful of. Not china at this moment in time appeasement doesn’t work
  14. Starmer hasnt said that’s far as I can see? About Trump deserving the Nobel prize I mean
  15. For example - this complete dangerous horseshite https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/oct/09/nigel-farage-says-uk-teachers-are-poisoning-our-kids-and-predicts-strikes-as-pm?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  16. Yup. At best I have people who detest Trump shrugging and saying something like “what ya gonna do?” Like that is any kind of answer what we gonna do is condemn, and watch out for same happening here - and watch out for all the handmaidens who would allow this to happen. Apologists for Farage, Jenrick etc
  17. Which Trump thread to choose. But I’ll pick this one to say some of us were called hysterical for calling out Trump for what he is and what he would do. If we posted something like this a couple of years ago we would be laughed at as unserious https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-calls-chicago-mayor-illinois-governor-be-jailed-2025-10-08/
  18. some people might call it "disgraceful"
  19. that last time someone said "return to topic" I pointed out there was no topic, Lammy is not getting the boot and he didn't say anything disgraceful But GUESS WHO waded in anyway and took it off in another direction talking about STARMERGEDDON and REEVESAGEDDON It was you you daft gobshite the thread topic is: Has David Lammy lost his job? Several days later the answer remains no. So "get back on topic" means the end of the thread. Which is fine. But don't go around screaming the sky is falling DOWNAGEDDON!!!!! and then when called out go all "anyway back on topic!"
  20. This constant looking up of words and repeating what they mean - LIKE WE DONT ALREADY KNOW
  21. Haha The Man is in on everything. Cover up!!!!! and oh look that word “disgraceful” again It’s more likely to be cock up than conspiracy
  22. Your understanding is incorrect. Lammy was repeating an old tutor of farage who recalled him singing hitler youth songs. No need for this to contemporaneous with hitler being alive but easier to suggest Lammy at fault that reckon with what is staring us in the face with farage eh? Impossible to have a conversation with this level of nuts doesn’t help when they keep promising never to engage and then get all upset when they do let’s at you are right (and that means ignoring a whole decade plus of evidence just so you can cherry pick) and Reeve’s single handedly tasks the country next month who clears up? The only people you quote happen to think argentinas tinpot leader is the solution - so I don’t see how that works
  23. Like cancerian, my suspicion would be that jazzer doesn’t just rely on “right wing press” but “does his own research” on some unsavoury online quarters they never back anything up, never engage in good faith, just endless spouting of meaningless talking points coupled with defensive “I have an opinion!!!” And a smidge of conspiracy (“you all know each other and gang up on anyone who doesn’t share your opinion” just endlessly, boringly wearisome
  24. chicken licken here who else was a big fan of Javier? Oh yeah - Badenoch who said "he is the template" the UK is not a sinking ship - it is a listing shi[p after years of mismanagement (and Brexit - lol. "the people are wise") - your constant 26 Nov is like those religious cults in America who always have a date for the end of the world and always have an excuse when the date passes
