Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Have made my team changes. 5. The last few turns on a toilet roll. Useless, never get it just right so the last pull of the roll finishes it. Always this bit that seems too long to chuck, too small to use.
  6. Lips sealed! Good choice leaving Friday, he's busy Thursdays (mostly).
  7. Funny you say that. Not been in for ages, popped in tonight for a pint after work. Thread must have put it in my mind. ETA...I don't think The Rye are at it in terms of publicity by the way. John Brady Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > They do say there's nothing like free publicity. > I mean even if it cost them a hundred and fifty > quid I think the pub has come out of this well. > > Or maybe I have misunderstood.
  8. Where's DJKQ when you need her...she'd know
  9. He's playing at Lattude this year - http://www.latitudefestival.com/line-up which is a great festival (well it was not been for a couple of years now)
  10. Come to think of it - Ryvitas do it to me as well, when one gets lodged at an angle and breaks when trying to get it out. Think I need therapy! KidKruger Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > They should do a line in "irrational rage-proof > packaging" !
  11. You are correct. Its entirely irrational. I also go tonto with Cheddars! KidKruger Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > But isn't the frustration placated by finding the > remainder of the pack largely intact ?
  12. When the first chocolate digestive in the pack is cracked in half. Makes me want to smash the rest of the pack up. No real reason why.
  13. The Witchery at The Castle is good, if pricey.
  14. Upstairs at The Doric Tavern is pretty good and not too pricey. The Kitchin mentioned above is fab. Some cracking pubs down there as well (Leith). Fishers in the City on Thistle Street worth a look.
  15. MrB, forgo the fly tieing workshop at your gaff and install your own boozer. I'd happily frequent it.
  16. Peckham Liberal club....maybe not quite what you want, but has a puggy, quietish and old school working mans club seats and chairs - just the place for a serious chat. Tried to join recently but they were out of forms. Will be on that case again soon.
  17. For taste bud recovery I can't look beyond a Sherbert Dip Dab. Irn Bru in a glass with ice cubes is a crucial element as well. Bacon and egg doubler also helps.
  18. 3 nights in a row. Have you tried speaking to them when open, or phone at least? helena_s Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > has anyone else heard the alarm of the petit chow > cafe in lordship lane? its driving us insane, but > the council wont do anything. we have called them > twice and apparently no one else is affected and > they have already spoken to them. 3 night in a > row!!! for real? > please, if its affecting you call the council and > place a complain
  19. As a blow in, 2004 till 2007 for me. Inside 72, Bev used to let me in before noon on a Saturday for a Guiness as she was setting up. The Lions tour shown live in The Mag with early boozy brekkies was good times as well. Like Otta, was younger and more durable in those days. Still love living in ED and a regular Saturday afo perch at the side of the bar in The Bishop.
  20. I've dug out David Gray. On CD, sticks after track 3.
  21. Fair do's MM. I'm stationed on sofa in ma PJ's baffies oan ma feet listening tae some Barry tunes likesay. Back oan topic. JO over RG any day.
  22. Try flicking over tae 5 MM. You will love JO after that. Flying Pig?
  23. Jamie on now C4 as is Robson Green extreme fishing on Ch5. Not enough face punches in the world.
  24. MrBen will be along in a minute MM... Offers over in Scotland. I think all the solicitors know each other and have a fairly good idea of what the other offers maybe. Never bought a house/flat but its something along those lines. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I wouldn't swap the Scottish system for ours. > > Buyers have to pay for a survey on a house they > may never get.
