Did they call it a 'Full Hawaiian' MummaB? I really hope so.

SPAM FACT: Residents of Hawaii eat an average of four cans of SPAM per person per year, more than in any other place on the planet.

Blimey - Jeremy, Netts. I am fast learning that spam is very popular everywhere but here with the small exception of catholic boarding schools.

I was expressing surprise that it was popular in Hawaii. Eaten with everything, any way you like. Curried, sushi, etc. RTFT in future.

Listened to the 4 o' clock show the other week. Discovered that Spam is hugely popular in Hawaii. Who knew? (can't think what reminded me of it)

(don't think I'm allowed to mention this sparkling, shiny, full of lights place on forum tho)
  11. *fatherjack voice* Driiiiiiiiink!! (when? where? and will the lovely Moos be back in time for any such shenanigans?)
  12. Yes! Simply move away from the SE22 postcode. That should do it. *embarrassed cough*
  13. Cheers for that Burbage - great stuff.

  15. Hope you took your shoes off and had some wine, Nette dear. That Blackwall tunnel is a bugger at times.
  16. Sorry to be dim but how could the first ever web page have a 'Frequently Asked Questions' section?
  17. I sincerely hope that the claim is not against Ryanair. Think there's only ever been one person who has ever managed to successfully get money back from that company.
  18. Logged onto EDF. Found a thread titled, 'incidental musing on nothing much'. Experienced deja-vu. Remembers thread titled, 'inane news' (or similar) Longs for the 'old days'. Tempted to 'bark' but manages to desist.
  19. I'm not seeing what you're all seeing then. Looks fake to me. And I've not got good enough broadband connection/patience to scroll through to pic no.16. So, no. You can all keep him. (Fair play to him though) :))
  20. The Gowlett has always been a firm favourite of mine, I think for the reasons outlined above - mixed clientele, decent music and yep, the pizza. Anyway, this thread. Where's RosieH when you need her?
  21. used to live around the corner, am pretty sure they were open at 8am. v.sad to see it close though. maybe it went downhill as morale dropped (if they knew it was closing for a while).

  23. no GG, not even irn-bru, I remember coke & fanta etc changing to the american style first, can't actually remember when Barr's did. the earlier ring pulls were rubbish as they broke off leaving you no way to get to your drink. and I don't know about you but I couldn't concentrate on double maths until I had my fill of Top Deck & limeade...
  24. btw, when I say 'user-friendly', I mean 'idiot-proof'.
  25. Er....I just remember the ring pulls being changed to catch up with the ones that the USA had waaaay before we did. Which are more user-friendly. Don't remember any "Green" campaigns to introduce them in the UK. Mind you, I went to school with americans. Before I knew it marathons became snickers, we were all eating jolly ranchers, baby ruths & reese's peanut butter cups instead of our usual (but boring, scottish) soor plooms, sherbert lemons. Then we got Pop Tarts, Cheerios, Mountain Dew and the rest, as they say, is history.
