  1. This is so sad and I wish you luck. I have a relative in the US I am very worried about and don't know what to do.
  2. Believe it is the same for other car parks like Pets at Home/Wickes in Blackheath, Lidl in Peckham and Tesco in Acre Lane Brixton. It's obviously to put commuters off parking there. My fear is that car parks will put clampers in. Anyone heard of that happening?
  3. paulipedia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Ganapati on the corner of Bellenden Road and Holly > Grove is supposed to be amazing for Southern > Indian food Re posting on a thread before reading it. Ganapati "only" mentioned 5 times previous to this post.
  4. The use of to instead of too which Honaloochie did today.
  5. A lot of the houses in Ivydale Road had/have the scullery arrangement at the back. They also have the big morning room before the scullery effectively giving you an extra reception. I do believe they are the biggest three bed houses I have seen in this area.

Think it's the kind of wrinkles you get upon awakening, like face creases, not long term wrinkles. I also prefer down filled pillows as you can punch them around to get comfortable. Ditto duvets, although in the summer just use a light blanket. There are some very good synthetic duvets around now which you can wash at 60 degrees and are as light as down. The Fine Bedding Company make a version. I have a single 9 tog one to use on the sofa. The White Company make nice cotton sheets and quite often have sales. The also do mail order. I really wouldn't bother with silk bedding.
  7. I saw a man pushing a child approximately 12 months in a buggy over the weekend up by the library. It was in full sun, at lunchtime. The cover was pushed back and the child didn't have a hat or long sleeved clothes on. It made me cringe. This was at lunchtime. I am also pretty sure you aren't legally allowed to be in charge of a child while drunk.
  8. They all got along rather too well even with the inclusion of so called eccentric bloke. That meant the commentary was dull. Anyway, it was CDWM South East London, not Dulwich. Don't think it was terribly representative of South East London. Could have done a lot better. I think the ones from outside London are much more amusing.
  9. I had a silk filled duvet once. It was OK. The moths really liked it though. I still used a 100% cotton sheet underneath it. I never bought silk sheets as I don't like that feel. I like Egyptian cotton sheets. You don't need to pay to get 400/ 500 thread count. It doesn't mean that they are 'better' because of that. I believe that silk pillow cases are supposed to be good for keeping hair styles in check if you are worried about that sort of thing.
  10. I was told that the owners had applied for it to become residential accommodation. There should be plans online or via the planning office if done in the past few years.
  11. Edcam, yeah I agree. Whew. Never did like cliques.

Thanks If the house is in bedsits then it is an HMO. House in Multiple Occupation. It should be registered with the council as such. Why don't you check this with them? There is a housing department in each borough.
  14. This is supposed to be a Famous people thread. Famous is someone like Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford, Donald Sutherland, and Bill Clinton. A sighting of Clint was reported when he was filming in Nunhead. Most of the people reported on here are repetitively listed. That is because they either live in ED or environs. It's sad.

Thanks for the rejection. You are just a bit previous. I didn't apply to join.
  16. What you are referring is not a click. It's a clique.
  17. Perhaps not a Toyota. I should have said Nissan or Honda. Nissans are my current favourite for reliability. Cheaper than Hondas.
  18. Little prince's ?- don't you have two juniors? Why did you buy a French car? Japanese all the way for reliability.
  19. Perhaps you could describe the two girls walking the dogs as it would be useful for the company that employs them, assuming there is one, to know. Whereabouts in the park were you? There is a dog walking side where dogs are 'allowed' to go off lead. The other parts of the park that has signs asking for dogs to be put on the lead are actually not enforceable but are put there in the hope that dog walkers will leash their dogs. A fair few dogs are attracted to food in the park and that is all they are interested in. There was another discussion on here about dogs coming up to babies in buggies and it usually because of the food lying about.
  20. The only one I haven't tried is The Old Nuns Head. Jack's brownie is good slightly microwaved so it becomes gooey. I recently tried another one from The Frog on the Green and thought the quality had gone downhill. There was a discernible taste of coffee which I didn't like.
  21. Kate Thornton ? Jo Brand, yada yada yada. Don't forget your autograph books. This is London. Lots of people who act and some that don't live here. They have to live somewhere. Bet you all read Heat/OK/Hello.
  22. Why not combine this thread with the PMS one and call it Jeremy Kyle.
  23. If that ever happens to anyone again anywhere, you must call Southwark Environmental Health again at the time. Don't leave it for a week. They will write to the place concerned and threaten them with a fine. The breaking in has to be done while the alarm is going off. I have had this problem with house alarms in my street.
