Look out for new (traffic) camera car (in East Dulwich)

What kind of camera sign? I just noticed the car as I was walking down the street. It was just near the bus stop. How would you see it if you pulled up a few cars behind as did the woman I saw? -
Buying a house in East Dulwich? expect sealed bids!
cate replied to Pendragon's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I can't imagine many would spend ?500K as a first house purchase. So if there were two people buying it and both had flats purchased ten years ago which they either sell or take equity out of, they would have a substantial deposit to put down on the house. Even if only one of them had a flat then it is still do-able. -

Only me! It was there today at about 445 pm. A woman pulled up outside the newsagent on the corner of Elsie Rd. - about 2 cars back from the Smart car and the periscope camera went up and I assume took a picture of the car. -
I used to like the soap sold by Culpeppers the Herbalist, but the last time I checked at the one in the Fulham Road, they have stopped doing their nicest ones like jasmine and stephanotis. Boots also used to do their own range of soap that was pleasant and mild, like the oatmeal one. I now use Jason's soaps. They come in a large size pump action container and don't have any unpleasant additives. They do small and large sizes but I just get a large one as it is better value and you can decant it into a container for the sink.

What sad news. Why on earth would they fiddle about with the original? It was very mild and good for face washing due to the glycerin. Maybe there are hidden stocks of the old version about...........200 year old brand but not recipe so I guess they are technically accurate!(6)

The valuation reports can also hinge on how much of a deposit the buyer has. For example if you are putting down forty or fifty percent then there is a better chance of not having it downvalued. And if you can show that other similar properties have sold for similar prices then it would usually go through. edited due to addition -
What to do about all the dog pooh in Dulwich?
cate replied to TonyQuinn's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Applespider My coat pockets are always full of the free poo bags. It is up to the owners to go to make sure they have enough. The libraries supply them in large quantities not just one or two. I also have a supply in my car. Maybe there could be more publicity about the free ones. It would be a good idea to have them at the entrances of parks. Hampstead Heath does this. -

Why would cut through this park if it screams danger to you? -

It's also the lack of stock available. There aren't many about. Had a look last night on Find a Property. -
Breast Milk STINKS...............apparently
cate replied to FatherJack's topic in The Family Room Discussion
According to the mother in question's post she decided to go into the changing room because her baby was grizzling AND because she wanted to try on sweaters. So she wasn't already in the changing room when the baby started grizzling. She quite possibly grabbed a bunch of sweaters in order to breastfeed. She could say anything she wanted to in order to look like a victim. (According to the Daily Mail interview the baby didn't cry until she was in the changing room.) Father Jack wasn't there then. Maybe there were more people in there at the time and she did block a changing room. Wouldn't you give a ten month old a biscuit? Or a sippy cup? I have lost sympathy for this woman as she decided to give an interview to the Daily Mail and she said on this Forum that she didn't know how they found her. Yes it is deeply unpleasant to have an aerosol sprayed around you but hopefully it didn't have any CFCs in it. The responses to go in there and do a mass breastfeeding in a shop which undoubtedly employs mentally ill people is gobsmacking. That is what I meant when I agreed with Peckhamgatecrasher who said it was a pitchforkish response. Why did this woman just not let everything be sorted out with the MD of Mind. I hope she comes back on here to explain why she went to the Mail. And I NEVER said I was against breastfeeding. Edited for an addition -

Sillywoman, I said it would have been polite for her to ask to use the changing room. Same as if she had been using a bottle. She was blocking a changing room. What is wrong with being polite? It's not like there is a surfeit of changing rooms there. Politeness costs nothing. And why is this woman's sister in law starting a new post which has now been locked? As someone else said it's a pitchfork response. edited due to missing letter -

Rydalema, if you were thinking of the SLP when you suggested press don't you understand that nationals pick up their stories from local papers? Having it in the SLP wouldn't have made it more contained and with a better outcome for the shop and manager? -
How about making yourself a tortilla - eggs, potatoes, herbs, what ever veggies you are allowed and some tuna? You can cut it up into portion sized pieces and take it with you when you travel. Take a cool bag with you. And definitely check out Green and Blue for their ?6 small plate orders as I mentioned above. Can you put protein powder in your smoothies? That would fill you up and you would get more energy.

I agree with Keef. How did the Daily Mail find out where the mother lived? She said they 'chased her down the street' in a previous posting. It would appear that she contacted them. Or they contacted her via the forum and she agreed to talk to them. I think this has gone too far and it makes the breast-feeding mothers on here look like vigilante militants. A charity shop is not a public place. It would have been polite for her to ask to use the changing room. The baby is not a tiny wee thing and could have had something to chew on. Maybe the manager's reaction was over the top but he doesn't deserve what has happened. -
Sorry to hear about your surgery. What about tapas style food? Lovely small plates of different starters. Also South Indian food - Ganapati would be a good place to start. They do some nice set lunches in the week (if you can get there then) with small portions of rice, tasty lentils and dosas for example. You could always take home what you don't eat and have it the next day. For alcoholic drinks try flat cider - French ones are good and I think Green and Blue have some. Green and Blue also have a new menu which accompanies their wine tasting which provides small plates of tapas style food for only ?6 and you get several dishes for that price. For non alcoholic drinks try cordials. There are some tasty ones out there like lime and elderflower. Just mix with water. If you don't cook much now might be a good time to start. If you make sure you include protein with each of your small meals you should feel full(ish)!

Whoosh, I completely agree with you. I decided to change my car to one with a higher suspension almost 3 years ago after finding it excruciating driving over the myriad of speed bumps/cushions/whatever. But you don't need a large 4x4. There are smaller ones that do the job.

Why didn't you report it? There isn't a secret sensor hotline to Thames every time a pipe leaks. Or do you think TW has lots of employees wandering around looking for leaking water????

Re SimonM's post - from Kindred Bakery, either a delicious granary roll or two pieces of bread cut from one of their granary loaf. Cook favourite bacon, spread mayo on bread/roll and add fresh ripe tomato. If available/desired add lettuce for a superb BLT. Must drink with tea.

The stamp duty holiday didn't apply to this area as nothing would have been under that price range. -

He rates the Miele and John Lewis machines the highest. Also rates a Swedish one called ISE.
