Gwad DR, that's some sleuthing there. Have you ever thought of working in Internet law enforcement ?

If you've been a dedicated follower of fashion you can't have missed the collapse of Missguided recently For those who don't know it is / was an online fashion house selling clothes. The BBC has a story on it today saying that any customer who is owed refunds or money possibly won't be getting it back from the firm. However, in the story there is a clue to the problems that face online clothing retailers at the moment It talks about one lady who is quoted as saying "I was looking for a dress for a friend's wedding so I naturally ordered lots of options to try on," and then goes on to saying she returned 7 items. Perfectly reasonable you might say, but then let's look from the companies point. They would need to process the seven items, check for damage or worst still unexpected stains, remove any items that couldn't be resold then either repackage as new or sell as returns the items (all taking time and money) then on top they need to refund the customer for the items they have returned causing uncertainty in the companies cash flow and profits. A customer buying 8 items for say ?200 then returning 7 and expecting to pay say ?25 for the one item they keep is a massive issue for the company (especially as the customer has a good window for returns) Even more of an issue is if an item is returned at the end of the window and by time its put back in stock the season for its over. Who's fault is it ? From a customers point not theirs as they need to try on different sizes or options From the businesses point, not theirs as customers are doing higher returns then expected. So what's the solution ? The only real solution here is for customers to return to the high street, try clothes on in the store where they can be quickly inspected and put back out on the racks if the customer says no Or A click and collect hybrid, where you order clothes to be delivered to a local small retail space, try them on and reject the ones you don't want there and then but pay for the ones you take. Unfortunately we aren't all exactly the same sizes, shape or complexion so buying over the Internet will always be difficult whereas a physical store, whilst having other costs associated with it, may well be the win win solution for everyone. Any thoughts or comments ? BBC News - Missguided shoppers will not get refunds for returns https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61784199

Ken, just had an image of you with your arms deep in a bowel of East DAZwich washing suds trying to get logic out of posts 🤔🤣 Was amused that your DM thanked me for your "Massage" (I didn't touch him honest Admin) As said in my message to you, Caulie sent me not one but two (possibly flaming) PMs both deleted unopened. Maybe my analysis above hit a nerve .. we will never know.

Selfies - chavvy, great, or somewhere in the middle?

Have you noticed the rise in apps that farm your face (face changer or face drawing apps) that process your data and image? Imagine what a valid resource online photos are despite how weird the camera makes us all look. -
There was a time when the Grasshopper pub and nightclub at Westerham was cited by a tabloid as the place to go for swingers. Did wonders for their takings as hordes of single lads descended on it for a while. That's as outer London as you could get. Guess with all the young wealthy families here, as first mate pointed out, we will have to wait a few more years till their kids are old enough for their parents to go wild and explore their chained up sexuality to make ED swing again 😉

I always feel sorry for people like Cauli Obviously young, emotionally immature and possibly with bullying issues (hence their retorts when challenged) Inspired to become a hacker but limted by only having their dad's hand me down sinclair spectrum so in frustration they register on public forums to post gobbledegook and try and build up a following of people who they want to be adored by, instead they alienate everyone. They want to crack the access code to playboy but instead end up on guysonly.com where they find that they aren't the most sarcastic person in the room. Cauli may well grow up to serve a useful position in society but not everyone wants fries with their burger. Excitement ranges from trolling on websites to a box of kleenex and babestation So instead on malaligning poor Cauli, we should offer them a strong shoulder to help them grow and become useful to society. 😅

I suspect, Seabag, that if Bob could do cheese carvings like some do with chainsaws in wood or ice, then his guests would be more impressed 🤔 Maybe his knife obsession is why Mrs Buzzard is obsessed with building work 😅

You're taking this one to the wire Bob But I have to ask, only French cheese or can you cut Edam for adding to the pineapple sticks ?

Interesting use of Statistics by the Mayor today But dig deeper and you will see since his baseline year (To May 2016) and current year (To April 2022) that during his time in office crime in London hasn't been going down but increased before peaking a few years ago then falling last year when we were mostly in lockdown. Wonder if he's published the year on year change to show the true picture over the past 6 years and any correlation between reported crime and lockdowns. Gun crime : https://www.statista.com/statistics/865565/gun-crime-in-london/ Knife crime : https://www.statista.com/statistics/864736/knife-crime-in-london/ Burglary: https://www.statista.com/statistics/864791/burglary-offences-in-london/

Interesting From experience around here we know one of the conclusions in it isn't true "They also said they had found no evidence that LTNs slowed down emergency vehicle response times" Seems a very biased piece 😉
