Just had a browse through your album Mockers. Aint London Beyutiful:)) Love your shots of The London Eye. I grew up very near to the South Bank.

Glad its not just me getting old and grumpy and I agree that it is a puzzle as to who benefits/buys from these calls. I just cant imagine. I literally screamed down the phone on Sunday at 9pm when I got a call. I cant imagine anyone welcoming that sort of intrusion. Anyway, hopefully I will have to find something new to moan about shortly!

I quite like it as it is. As I said earlier its a good place to take a couple of noisy brats without being in other peoples' faces. Mind you, thats probably why its empty!

This is my new road rage....Already today I have had 3 phone calls, one for windows, one for legal action (ambulance chasing) and one electronic - "you have been selected....". I HATE it. Such a blinking invasion of my space. If I wanted new windows etc I would find a company. End of rant.

Youve got me feeling all nostalgic. How young do the pythons look! True story about parrots - my aunt bought a parrot from an egg (seriously) about 18 years ago, twas amazing, very wide vocab etc. Anyways, she got given new pots n pans for christmas and they were coated with Teflon. After using them for the first time, the parrot fell off its perch and was gasping. She literally legged it to the vets, parrot in hand, vet gave it oxygen but it died after a few hours, apparently of Teflon poisoning, which is well known in Austrailia as lethal to birds!! This sounds abit like a Monty Python sketch, but tis indeed true. She was also presented with a ?700 bill for the care of the parrot. THE END

This situation with Mr Durat is making me feel a little uncomfortable. If he didnt do it then his life is well and truly up the proverbial Swanny, sh*t sticks no matter what. Then again, thinking of the Huntley case, the fact that he has made himself so busy around the scene leaves me with the chills!. Trying hard not to be too judgemental but I dont think its particularly constructive to be naming this guy yet. What do the rest of you think?

As a small business person myself, I always feel incredibly sad when the big boys (who could go anywhere they like) muscle out the independents. Happened to me a few time in my varied entrepreneurial attempts. I totally understand your angst.

They do an amazing bottle of Italian rose for about ?13.00 keep meaning to take the name. Very dark for a rose but possibly the best I have tasted.(tu)

Its going to take people like you MW to stick to the independants and good word of mouth. But, alas it probably is a foregone conclusion (td)
