  1. My friend works in a cafe and gets REALLY infuriated by people sitting with their laptops for hours and ordering one pot of tea. I dont work in cafe but I too get annoyed seeing someone sat with their laptop when I walk in drinking a coffee and they're still there when I've ordered a meal, eaten it paid and left. These are businesses not an office there for your convenience. As someone who had to use the tube today and again tomorrow I think you're bloody lucky to be able to 'wfh' So please spare a thought for the catering staff and cafe owners who have no choice. Be kind and SPEND MONEY!
  2. As usual it seems any excuse to drop our Southern service. Very frustrating.
  3. its a huge PITA logging in every time I go on the forum and want to post.. I guess others feel the same way? just very annoying and stops me bothering to post or reply
  4. No way!!! I dont do online banking and this is the branch I use to do all my deposits, etc etc Is there any way we can fight this?? I certainly dont have time to go to Peckham or Brixton on my day off to queue at a bank. And before anyone comments..NO I will NOT do online banking.
  5. I just want to say Welcome to the UK. I wish you and your Son much success and happiness in your new life.

  7. I hate selfies and find it really idiotic that people need to mug at the camera with a landmark of some kind in the background as if to say 'I woz ere"... Personally I'd rather look at photos of the grand canal, the alps, pyramids or wherever without someone pulling a fake grin or pose in front of them.
  8. Gosh! Thats a shocker and a blessing that there were no serious injuries (I assume) as the whole side of the bus is ripped apart!

  11. We brought Amtico from the carpet shop on Lordship lane.

No everyone wants to have to change busses to get to work...it means paying twice and what's more holding down a job in the current climate is stressful enough without it taking me over an hour and two busses to get to an from work. i daresay you work from home and have a nice 40k+PA job..its the 'little people' like myself that have to worry about public transport and not clocking in late.

The menu looks great..portions are small, food tasteless and giving it the benefit of the doubt we tried it twice..never again. Save your money for somewhere that does tasty food.

  17. CPR Dave Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Seems sensible > > Need to get more traffic off the road and get > everyone riding bicycles. Not everyone CAN ride bicycles!!! I'd love to but I'm 63 years old and have hip and knee problems and am unable to start learning to ride a bike despite my physical issues. What a ridiculous statement!

These routes are useless for those of us who work in the Central west end. The 176 more often than not seems to stop short at Waterloo and those of us who work in retail and catering rely heavily on the 12 to get us to and from work at a price we can afford.

This proposal is a disaster for myself and my colleagues who work in retail and catering in the West end. We often finish work late in the evening and rely on the 12 to get home safely reliably. The train service is unreliable and expensive. As a 60+ year old woman I like to get one bus virtually door to door (this shouldn't be a luxury in a major city) and the idea of waiting somewhere like Elephant and Castle late at night to get a bus home fills me with anxiety. Southern train services have been cut and now our one direct bus to central London. SE21/22/23 is the poor relation when it comes to transport south of the river.

My thoughts entirely. Megans food is abysmal, service was appalling and their idea of 'local' branding is just naff and pathetic.

  23. I also go to Dulwich Chiropractic but I actually like Mieke. I found she took more time with me than Daniel (who I also saw ) and therefore fixed me in a few sessions. I really think she's amazing at what she does.
  24. Yes ..Theres an amazing young woman named Mieke at the Dulwich Chiropractors on Crystal palace rd. She does Physio as well and really fixed an ongoing problem that I had. Highly recommended

As a Barclays customer who does chose to use the inside Cashpoint I must say that the reduced opening hours of the branch make it pretty inconvenient, added to which there have on occasion been long queues inside as well. From memory I think only two of the 3 self service machines inside allow withdrawal of cash.
