Yeah the guy who kept saying, "metrosexual" instead? What a doof. (him not you Tony)

Hey! the delay was due to me sourcing highly "credible" links! >:D

Ha ha ha - yeah the wreckage after the storm! In the defence of Mr VBC, he is a better after-cooking cleaner than myself, which is why I do all the cooking. He was out with the Cillit Bang last night before I could even put my fork down.

Men:Well Are You A Gastro-Sexual Or Not?
VeryBerryCherry replied to Tony.London Suburbs's topic in The Lounge
ha ha ha psychic posting! JINX! -
Just heard this new term on BBC News: Gastosexual So we've had the metrosexual, the ubersexual and now the gastrosexual. Which begs the question... Why does every new trick a guy learns make him "sexual"? (it very rarely is) When a woman does the above, it's called plain old housework, getting ready, looking after the kids, multi-tasking etc...

I'm almost ashamed to post that we saw Charlie from one of the Big Brothers sitting outside of Black Cherry with a lovely red-neck baseball cape/ Juicy Couture velvet tracksutit combo on.

I have a book in every room and in every handbag. Right now I am in the living room and reading, "Who's afraid of Feminism" Feminist essays edited by Ann Oakley and Juliet Mitchell. I think I need to lighten up and move to another room...

Mr VBC was banging on about this the other night. I think it's a way of storing digital media, from set top boxes and sky/cable type things... A newer version of the betamax bt without tape.

VeryBerryCherry replied to PeckhamRose's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Oh, and theres was me thinking you were talking about how I fell asleep on the 37 bus after a night out, and ended up in Peckham Morrison's car park. Phew, that was close - I was worried word had got out! :-$ -

She is one of my favourite female film characters of all time. I could see you kicking some Terminator butt no probs.

I was wondering if any of you have any thoughts on which fictional character you would most likely be or would wish to be, in the realms of fiction and fantasy. I have just finished a 24hour marathon read of a book, The End of Mr Y, which I loved. And I think the reason for really enjoying this book was that as I was reading it was almost like reading about myself, or the self I would be if I was fictional. Her background was similar to mine, the same views and beliefs; I even predicted her thoughts and actions in subsequent parts of the story, which was a strange experience. It was as though if I could write myself into a fictional character and story, that would be me? but someone out there wrote it for me. So if you could be any fictional character from a movie, play, book, song etc? Who would you be and why? Would you like to be the heroine, hero, the misunderstood hermit or the arch evil nemesis? Can you think of a fictional character who you feel is similar to you, or leads some parallel fictional life? Do you think Identification with the main protagonist is key to your enjoyment of a story, or do you prefer not to identify with them?

Adverts that you love / drive you insane!
VeryBerryCherry replied to VeryBerryCherry's topic in The Lounge
Oh and I found another one last night that was more disgusting than anything else. Has anyone seen that Crunchy Nut advert where the woman is sitting in the car with a box of cereal and milk. (I think it's actually and old advert) And then she pours the milk in and then shovels it into her mouth! Oh, it's so disgusting! Again - it's one of those where I get so embarrassed and disgusted that I have to leave the room. Also, Mr VBC pointed out, where can you buy a glass pint of milk these days? (like in the Cornflake advert) -
