  1. And Ondine Road. I have now been 'educated' by the 176 bus! who needs English teachers!
  2. I love the whole moon "set-up" theory. But that's more of a conspiracy than an urban legend.

  4. You explode when you have a baby? My tocophobia has now reached an all time high!!! EEEK!
  5. Too cute. I think the Ice Queen may be melting. Although, trust the over-sentimental Americans... Where DO lions get married these day? "his wife!" Come off it!
  6. Yeah I'd take it as a compliment. I try to, but it's not so funny when I forget to take out my passport (I don't drive). Better that, than be 15 and NOT get asked, that would upset me more! Anyway, don't a few places do that Challenge 21 milarky now? Not saying you don't look 18, but don't they atry to ask people around the 21 age bracket now too?
  7. How adventurous can a chain bar get? That's like asking for "2 extra shots in a light coffee Frappucino" in Starbucks... Have you ever seen one of the assistance faces when you do that?
  8. Another suggestion or two for getting outthe last bits of moisture is to put it on a radiator or in an airing cupboard. although, time is of the essence ith these methods. However, you have nothing to lose. I have dropped five phones down the toilet (don't ask what I was doing), and one in a pint, and they have surviived thanks to these methods.
  9. Plus... there are these new fangled metal and rubber thingi-ma-jiggies, called buses ((sp?) i think, don't quote me), and they even work in the dark. So you can travel to any of these "edgy" places you want. Be careful not to fall off when you get there, it must be precarious. Do you have a good sense of balance?

  11. Great! Does anyone know if The Nero's one is one where you need to have an account? The amount of times I've done that in Starbucks, gone and bought a drink, got comfy and sat down, only to find that it's TMobile and you need some prepaid account to access it.
  12. I wanted to find out which shops, restaurants, bars and pubs have FREE internet access. I am getting bored of trying to hatch my evil plans to take over the world, Pinkie, while sat in my living room. I've made a dent in Mr VBCs sofa. So I need to get out, but need the T'interweb. Any ideas? Thanks
  13. Yeah I work across the road from them and I still can't quite work out how anyone can fish in there. There's barely and eggcupful of water in there... Can you imagine how disgusting the fish would taste!

As a recent newbie, who turned up to the last one... trust me, you'll know them when you see them!!! >:D< I actually mean that they will be the nice looking bunch laughing raucously :)-D Labels wouldn't be a half bad idea either... but I think that's more to do with my cr@p inability to remember ONE name, let alone 20 odd peoples real names and online monikers too!

St@r*****!!!! I was hoping you might credit me with some more sense SMG. I friggin-well hate the place (Mr VBC and I have actually had MAJOR rows abt his SBs addiction) No, something independent and quirky for me please.
  17. Google 'Yummy Mummy' It looks like a perfect snapshot of East D ... Oh, and what's the male equivalent? Faddy daddies??? >:D<
  18. Were you the beige Croc wearer that Muffintop spotted the week? >:D
  19. More like Naff stuff. The reason the sales been on so long is that no-one wants the clothes, even at those cut-prices! >:D<
  20. Yep , there are no kebab shops down there, but there is a betting shop. A couple of newsagents, A cute little library, A bakery, etc... A coffee shop would be great. I think they could do so well with the early morning commuters... And me when I need to get out the house! >:D<
  21. Hi, well I always use a little oil in cakes, it helps to keep them moist. However, too much and they tend not to rise too well, especially if you are vegan and you don't have eggs to compensate and make it light and fluffy. I tend to use soya margerine, but substitute a little of it of veg oil. One idea is to use and electric whisk on both, the get them a little creamier and lighter prior to mixing. Oh and as well as a couple of tablespoons of oil, i'd use a couple of spoons of a whisked milk substitute too. Again, I use soya milk, but i'm sure Rice milk should work too.
  22. oh b()gger me backwards with a fork... I am going to be at work! Damn IT!!! DAMN WORK TO HELL! >:D<

  24. It's not funny nor is he really that much of a celebrity anymore (not actually sure he even was in the first place). But I served Ricardo from 'The Salon' yesterday in Balham. He couldn't decide if he wanted his steak medium or rare... :-S Apparently he's a regular... But I was more excited about the lady who comes in on Tues for cheap Steak Night with her pet rabbit... on a lead!
  25. I don't think that veg oil would be sufficient. Mainly because butters and margerines are emulsified creams and fats etc... I'd look on the web for some alternatives. I know I have looked for egg-free recipes and it's great for finding more than one option. No other option immediately springs to mind, sorry. ... actually, what about soya marg? Or is that the marg you don't like?
