  7. I went and had a look at this yesterday. Absolutely magnificent sight, but just to let people know, if you do go then the crowds are surprisingly huge, and I mean thousands and thousands of people (when it was pouring down with rain)and it is difficult to move about. There are crowd control PCSO's on the streets as well as extra LUL staff controlling Tower Hill station.
  8. Thanks to Mrs.adonirum I have to put up with this each year, don't normally watch but did so saturday evening and Cheryl Cole ( or whatever) was definitely miming/lip syncing. Didn't she do the same think a few years ago? Not really setting a good example to her clan.
  9. Blues and Rhythm - Status Quo

  11. Status Quo and the Beach Boys!!!!!! Sorry, Otta, not a "best" collaboration, but the WORST EVER (Jeeeeesus, even I drew the line at that one)
  12. Call for the Priest - Judas Priest
  13. North Norfolk Coast Path Runs between Hunstanton and Sheringham About 15 miles Don't know if that qualifies as a "long walk" for you, steveo.
  14. Last Rose of Summer - Judas Priest
  15. steveo....at last someone else who remembers/have heard of Montrose and not just the vocalist Sammy Hagar. Shame Ronnie Montrose died relatively young, but prostate cancer claims far to many. Surely Black Sabbath on Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath has to be an all time candidate, setting the standard for most (all) that came after it in that genre

Mind you, solitary might have been preferable looking back over the years......!!!!!
  18. KK...I think you might be thinking of Regans (Reagans), the old style tailor.

  21. Can't accurately remember, but thought it was one of those shops between the post office and the bank. Steveo suppose the pronounciation depends on if you are old ED or new ED, bit like the supermarket, is it lidaallls or is it lidells? nxjen Not forgetting Folletts record shop along there

  24. Having now been back in ED for just over a year and seen the huge changes that have occurred, I was wondering what do East Dulwichites now do to move themselves up into the true classification of middle class? Do people still follow the old tried and tested methods of: Join the PTA and then move up to School Governor Join a local Police Consultation Board and then move up to Magistrate Join the Committee of a Local Community Centre and then move up to local Councillor Join the Rotary Club and then move up to the Freemasons Join the local Mum's Club and then move up to the W.I. Join the local Pub Darts team and then move up to the local Golf Club or do East Dulwichites not bother these days and just unilaterally declare themselves Middle Class by virtue of their postcode?
  25. It's spreading. Noticed a building like it on the corner of North Cross and CPR the other day.
