Thanks for the tips in the earlier post anapau- I've not listened to much dubstep since the skream/benga days (not for any particular reason), so have got a decent selection on spotify now. Really looking forward to see how the genre's moved on. Loved the Burial EP earlier this year; however.

London Overground line extension timetable

19 mins peckham rye to shoreditch high street means i can be door to door to work in less than half an hour, and more importantly door to door to brick lane beigel bake in less than half an hour :0) -
As a commuter cyclist in london, i can honestly say the most danger i've felt recently is from other cyclists. Drivers seem to have become a lot more aware over the last couple of years and seem to be driving accordingly. I think drivers are become more fearful (of injuring cyclists) and cyclists are becoming less fearful and careful; i put it down to safety in numbers. It's ridiculous to suggest that a cyclist cycling badly is only a danger to themselves- if a car has to swerve/brake hard to avoid a cyclist weaving in and out of traffic, then there's every chance they'll cause a bigger accident. And of course it's not all cyclists- ashamed to say it's almost always men. But reactions from other cyclists i speak to waiting at lights while others charge through is always one of frustration. As far as undertaking goes- it's perfectly legal and should be safe to do so given enough space.

sounds like your problem is symptomatic of the modern nhs gp service full stop; not just that practice.

How does anyone know it's one-way? I don't recall any signs
-
why can't it be used as a north and southbound cycle lane- there doesn't seem to be any harm in that?

I use it twice a day everyday and have never had any problems. As long as you're prepared to slow right down and be patient with pedestrians it's no bother. Ill-conceived schemes are only ill-conceived if the people using them don't use them sensibly or properly.

She was perfectly within her rights. If a dog can't be COMPLETELY and reliably controlled by voice, and if you can't be 100% sure your dog isn't going to approach strangers, especially young children then it should always be on a lead. Some people are terrified of dogs. It seems most dog owners in peckham rye park are irresponsible- i'd say 90% of dogs you see in the areas where dogs are supposed to be on leads (arboretum, japanese garden etc), aren't on leads. As it happens I adore dogs, and will approach most to pet/stroke them; but not everyone is a dog lover.

Language evolves and changes. I'm sure there are things we said when we were kids that curmudgeonly old miserablists disapproved of.

The blue posts is in a handy spot, but always too busy these days and the beer was shocking last time i was in there- friendly landlord though. I like upstairs in the Lamb and Flag @ Covent Garden- usually nice and quiet with a bit of character. The Ship on Wardour Street is another Soho favourite, although don't go if you don't like loud, decent music. The Seven Stars behind the Royal Courts of Justice is a fabulous little place, run by Roxy Beaujolais. A bit obvious and touristy, but I also like Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese. -
I also have one too many tickets for this if anyone needs one

It has a lot of ingredients therefore it *must* be muck, so there.

OMG new Iphone released !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
titch juicy replied to woodrot's topic in The Lounge
It's rather cute that anyone thinks that any other manufacturer would behave any differently if they had carved out the same market share as apple. If, say, Samsung end up dominating the gadget market in the way Apple have, do you think they'd hold back technological advances to make the most of future sales? Of course they would- it's called business. -
