  1. *Most of what Damian Hurst has done with his three ideas since college is crap. Unfortunately the world of high art is often not about quality.
  2. why do you think it's a gimmick? grayson perry is a superb human being
  3. not answering the original poster i'm afraid, but found this amusing spelling mistake on House of Tipplers drinks menu "Beer Draft Paulaner Munic larger, Germany 4.9% Pint ?4.20"
  4. as a cyclist, i find the following are the most inconsiderate and/or clueless on the road (generalising greatly) In order of worst to best Pedestrians Other Cyclists Mopeds/Scooters White Vans 'Normal' cars Lorries Buses Larger Motorbikes Taxis I think Buses, Larger Motorbikes and Taxis are much much more considerate than all the rest
  5. Thought 95% of it was painful to watch- cliff, elton, macca, Tom jones all sound like pub impersonators of themselves at best. Thought Madness, Stevie Wonder and Grace Jones provided the only quality. The comedy interludes were without exception cringeworthy.

not to mention carrick over henderson
  8. i'm afraid i'm not going to read 44 pages, although i'm sure it's riveting stuff- and i'm sure the pair of sunbathing tortoises in the japanese garden pond in peckham rye park have already been mentioned- but in case they haven't, there are
  9. Although Computedshorty does have a point with, " Yes the post is full of attitude why write this? > > "I'm not a person with attitude but if you guys > think I should I would give them a piece of a > teenage boys mind (back talk & attitude)". > > Your description of the drivers, " the man is big > and bold with glasses, (white colour skin)". > What difference does the colour of the drivers > skin make. > > "There lady has black Curley hair and looks > European with an accent". > Have you an issue with people like this? > > You are privileged to be able to travel by public > transport at no cost to you. 10. troll acting as 15 year old with deliberate spelling/grammar mistakes to get rise a la, "the state of education these days blah blah", "perhaps you should spend less time moaning about bus drivers, andmore time in the classroom, blah blah"?

after having the grave misfortune of being duped into watching england on saturday evening, i don't want them to do well i will be supporting germany and couldn't give a monkey's what anyone thinks- i'm happy to admit that i'm very much a fair weather england fan- all my football love is for tottenham the only reason i'll watch the england games is to ensure parker and defoe don't get injured i think france will surprise a few people germany, spain, netherlands, france as semi-finalists england to scrape second in the group and lose to spain in the q-final
  13. Runs everyday, though may need to check for weekend engineering work

    Great Gigs

Pretty sure Liz Fraser sold out yesterday, a full day before general sale. I'm a member and could get nowhere near tickets :-(
  16. That is a lot a medium black americano at Taylor St Baristas in the city (best coffee in london IMO, even better than Monmouths) is ?1.90.
  17. monday night sounds like a good plan
  18. Glad to hear the burgers were good. Perhaps we'll give it a while and try again; although still put off a bit by the prices.
  19. I've just realised how bitter that post sounds- it wasn't meant to. I'm just really disappointed.
  20. Went to the draft house last night with the intention of eating, but the place still smelled of paint (not their fault of course) and the cramped, stuffy box of a room that they cram you into to eat felt almost institutional. We were willing to give it a go until we saw the menu and prices- a basic burger was over ?8, add cheese and chips and it comes out at over ?12. Considering a fantastic cheeseburger and chips at Honest Burger is ?7.50 and at Meatliquor about ?9, over ?12 is frankly taking the piss. If the place itself had any atmosphere- the decor felt cheap and just cobbled together, but not in a good way, the prices would be more justifiable. Shame really.
  21. does anyone know if there's any truth in the rumours that they'll be back at the rye when it reopens?

  23. the amount of well-to-do looking, loud, drunk people on Lordship Lane at 11.30pm on a friday night is terrifying.
  24. where does it say anywhere that anyone is trying to be 'yankee like'? meatliquor only do fries i think

But never, ever bacon on top. i had it in my head that meatmarket had opened already. Looking forward to giving it a go. Be interesting to see how it's done, cos i love the gothic, deep south feel of meatliquor.
