Thought 95% of it was painful to watch- cliff, elton, macca, Tom jones all sound like pub impersonators of themselves at best. Thought Madness, Stevie Wonder and Grace Jones provided the only quality. The comedy interludes were without exception cringeworthy.

Glad to hear the burgers were good. Perhaps we'll give it a while and try again; although still put off a bit by the prices.

I've just realised how bitter that post sounds- it wasn't meant to. I'm just really disappointed.

Went to the draft house last night with the intention of eating, but the place still smelled of paint (not their fault of course) and the cramped, stuffy box of a room that they cram you into to eat felt almost institutional. We were willing to give it a go until we saw the menu and prices- a basic burger was over ?8, add cheese and chips and it comes out at over ?12. Considering a fantastic cheeseburger and chips at Honest Burger is ?7.50 and at Meatliquor about ?9, over ?12 is frankly taking the piss. If the place itself had any atmosphere- the decor felt cheap and just cobbled together, but not in a good way, the prices would be more justifiable. Shame really.

does anyone know if there's any truth in the rumours that they'll be back at the rye when it reopens?
