  18. Jagged jigsaw pieces Tossed about the room I saw my grandma sweeping With her old straw broom But she didn't know what she was doing She could hardly understand That she was really sweeping up.. Pieces of a man I saw my daddy greet the mailman And I heard the mailman say "Now don't you take this letter to heart now Jimmy Cause they've laid off nine others today" But he didn't know what he was saying He could hardly understand That he was only talking to Pieces of a man I saw the thunder and heard the lightning! And felt the burden of his shame And for some unknown reason He never turned my way Pieces of that letter Were tossed about that room And now I hear the sound of sirens Come knifing through the gloom But they don't know what they are doing They could hardly understand That they're only arresting Pieces of a man gil scott heron

  20. Driven through by her own sword, summer died last night, alone. Even the ghosts huddled up for warmth. Autumn has come to my hometown.

John Salako Managed by Steve Coppell and Mark Goldberg of course, for very good cause.
  23. Apparently defoe is 50/50 for today. If pav and defoe are fit, and with THUDD back in pulling the strings, I can see us mauling pompey. It's not often I get over optimistic about anything spurs do, but could see 6 or 7 being scored today.
  24. The charity game on sunday is in aid of the Henry Fraser. Various events have already taken place trying to raise the millions of pounds needed to fund his ongoing treatment (for the rest of his life) To quote from his website: "Henry is a very talented 17 year old who had an accident this summer whilst on holiday with his friends, he dived into the surf and damaged his spinal cord leaving him unable to move his arms and legs. Henry is a superb athlete with a particular passion for rugby. He was a regular member of Dulwich College 1st XV and has represented the County, London & South East Division and Saracens Academy. He is still training and still has lots of goals to achieve ? just different to the ones he had before." I'll endeavour to find out more details and post them here, but as far as I know there's a fair few celebrity participants.
