hi, have just moved from this area, after a very happy 11 years. I never felt threatened (except once when breaking up a fight at a small shop - but then the offender did actually apologise to me) I suspect the postcode will be SE15 - do not be put off by this. Its a fab area, alot of community spirit and much closer to rail links than alot of SE22 - you get a bit more for your money and as you say, very close to all thats happening in LL

actually this sounds like a good idea (I've had a look at their website - pole dancing lessons?????) anyway, it could also include really useful stuff like proper painting and decorating tips, small scale plastering and filling - save us having to get a man in who would rip us off!! lets face it, with all these crumbling victorian terraces we need all the help we can get.

there is a small bike repair shop in peckham high street - opposite peckham square and round corner from Lidl they are pretty good

aha, a few saturday's ago (around 4.30pm) I saw a mini van containing traffic wardens driving up crawley grove, park on a junction (double yellow) with archdale road to issue a ticket to a van which did not seem to warrant a ticket. After ticket was placed on windscreen, the warden got back in and the driver drove off whilst on his mobile. The van was white and unmarked. I tried to remember the number plate but of course forgot it. I have no doubt that had I reported it, there would be no record of this vehicle.

It is kids at the adventure playground. Admittedly a bit noisy however it's not every day. Loads of kids (and not just 'the estate ones') use this place, which has been here for years. There will be alot of very angry parents and bored youngsters if the new flats in any way interfere with the playground. I can't help feeling the planning process for that building was somewhat dodgy and it would be the icing on the cake if they tried to shut down a valuable play space.

I know this sounds bizarre, but I had heard that if a man urinated in the garden (at the boundaries) , it would fend off foxes - best to do it at night I feel. good luck
