  1. Official notice from TfL -as from June 15th Freedom Passes and 60+ passes cannot be used on TfL from 0430 to 0900
  2. Mine has been rubbish off and on today but fine the rest of the time
  3. It would also have helped if the WHO had put restrictions on passenger air travel instead of letting the virus spread everywhere and TRUSTING that people would be sensible...(like Pauline Cafferkey https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/aug/18/pauline-cafferkey-ebola-nurse-accused-concealing-high-temperature) https://www.who.int/news-room/articles-detail/updated-who-recommendations-for-international-traffic-in-relation-to-covid-19-outbreak

I dare you to drive up to Francesca Cabrini school at chucking out time...or ANY 'faith' primary school.....you might change your tune. I might have a walk round and check out St Anthony's' traffic when we are back to normal! (did I need 2 apostrophes there- I think so)
  5. So- going from Politics to Business- she was rubbish at the politics
  6. Very sad. I've had real nightmares about this sort of thing and ours are not outside except when supervised...I hope you get the little darlings back . They will hide in darker places during the daytime.
  7. BBC have had online resources for some time https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/levels/z3g4d2p
  8. The death of elderly people will impact the less well-off as this report shows that they provide childcare for their grandchildren as nursery fees are so high, (or affordable places are unavailable in many areas unless you are a single parent....) https://www.ageuk.org.uk/latest-news/articles/2017/september/five-million-grandparents-take-on-childcare-responsibilities/
  9. I got a letter today that had been posted 2nd class on Thursday 28th May...

  11. I'm surprised they said 1st June because last week was half-term officially and in order to get the schools 'covid ready' the teachers would've had to attend during the half-term holiday- which they would not want to do- so he should have had the start date later on this week (which is probably what some schools will do anyway), if not Monday 8th.
  12. I stopped going there a couple of weeks ago even though it is my nearest open space for exercise for the very reasons that Glemham has stated above. Added to that the number of vehicles that park outside the school and playing field and unload their children, sports equipment and picnic paraphernalia has now forced us, as fairly elderly, to drive to another location thereby putting pressure on their resources. There was even graffiti done on the bench by the memorial gardens....no respect, no manners. But given the state that the beaches and 'beauty' spots have been left in around the country, it is no surprise.

Since a lot of people hold South Korea up to be successful in the avoidance of deaths by covid I'm probably more paranoid as I worked in a microbiology lab for 2 years

  17. Islington council used these psychometric tests about 15 years ago that I knew of ( don't know about now) but https://blog.mettl.com/talent-hub/10-companies-using-psychometric-testing it could be an insidious way of excluding candidates imo

Interesting- the reason why 'could have' etc turned, incorrectly, into 'could of' is because of the use of the contraction...'could've' which sounds like 'could of'.....anyway...sad times for everyone

  20. There will be a rise in London Covid cases soon https://uk.news.yahoo.com/coronavirus-hundreds-flout-lockdown-rules-attend-illegal-party-042800782.html https://uk.news.yahoo.com/hundreds-join-london-protest-against-133042129.html https://uk.news.yahoo.com/t-breathe-peckham-protests-over-201600623.html I feel sorry for any London based very vulnerable people who've been locked in for nearly 10 weeks I certainly wouldn't venture out for at least another 2 weeks after this lot on top of the beaches overcrowding.

It was the 28th March....5 days after the start of the lockdown proper (23rd March), and what about the others- Ali, Evans? Kier Starmer is just a hypocrite

Exactly. And if you look around there are not that many older people out and about in busy areas. As far as I'm concerned it was the WHO and China that missed the opportunity to shut it down in early January.
  24. I did it. Some of the questions seemed repetetive but isn't that how they do psychometric tests to elicit a consistent response no matter how the question is phrased? I did it because I wanted to convey my feelings about the pandemic as I have never felt those feelings before.
  25. I like the graphics and layout in the first one and the pic in the third one
