How about all those sports fields on the South Circular as well and in Dulwich Village? -

If people do use the open fields then I hope they are responsible. I saw a man go in there with a bike and a dog today -

Thing is they didn't have much in the way of treatment for many illnesses e.g. cancer; and emphysema, or C.O.P.D as it is now known, has no cure.

Self isolation ideas for children?s entertainment

A plea from my heart- teach them the times tables -
Came across a new thing yesterday- bunch of young kids (9years ish) in the road on skateboards in the backstreets near North X Rd. as people were walking past so no going in the road to pass anyone in that area. There was another bunch of youngsters in Heber road as well, in the road on bikes just milling about. We have been trying keep to our own neighbourhood backstreets as it WAS quieter....

This is a bit of a worry- I'm wondering if they had those tests that Matt Hancock said were 75% unreliable! https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2020/04/06/51-recovered-coronavirus-patients-test-positive-again-in-south-korea/

Daughter in final year of degree as well. Add to that the Key workers who may be on night shifts and it is imperative that everyone is considerate. -

Are our streets disabled friendly?
seenbeen replied to Pugwash's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Whilst out on my daily exercise I went down Pellatt Road past the Old Sorting Office and there was a house where a third of the pavement was covered in its bush and theer on its doorstep was a Fortnum and Mason box....says it all really- several houses along that stretch have badly overgrown hedges -

There are strict rules about bonfires in all London boroughs and they have been in place for decades. Wood burning stoves have to be DEFRA approved- i.e. they filter out everything harmful. Barbecues are already known to create air pollution https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/07/01/typical-barbecue-bad-planet-90-mile-car-journey-scientists-warn/ But as we all know and have seen there is a hard core of people who will do what they want, when they want...the Queen said yesterday something about how, when we look back at the crisis, were we found wanting...although those that are found wanting won't give a fig anyway. Also there are people in Southwark who have objected to paying for the garden waste bin and how will they get rid of their garden waste?

Never mind- we have the Queen tonight

Yes- this is the problem with people who do not THINK about anyone except their stupid selves

During the week we have builders next door making noise with power tools and creating dust because they have not got the nous to put a barrier up- like we were promised. I have had to notify the council environment team as clouds of brick dust into my garden is WRONG. We did exercise outside for about 90 minutes a day in the neighbourhood during the week and planned on staying in the garden over the weekend when the builders aer not there- BUT the house next door but one decided he was going to use a power tool on Saturday to cut up wood and again dust is drifting into my garden as there is no fence- so we went out but it was very busy everywheer. I was determined to stay in the garden on Sunday BUT there he is again starting at 10.00 am cutting up wood- it is still going on but he shifted it from the back garden to the front garden BUT are there any NHS workers on a night shift around here...I know there is one person at least who is a key worker..... Then of course someone else started using power tools this afternoon- NOT a lawn mower and not a strimmer....the inconsiderate bad behaviour is contagious unfortunately. I'm just waiting for the barbecues to start up now....more lung/environmental damage

One thing that I've noticed- and it was very alarming on one occasion this week, is that people with children on bikes and scooters are letting them get too near other people. One child was about a foot away from me last week and coughing like mad with both hands on its handlebars, so the cough was totally broadcast. The child should not have been out at all, and was not being properly supervised.

Daily exercise recommendations

Maybe instead of doing a lengthy Low Intensity exercise jogging around for an hour people could do a High intensity sprint and then go home within 20 minutes? -

Yes- I don't remember it being made clear that the reason for NOT driving all over the place is to avoid accidents and thereby putting even more pressure on the NHS...but then many people have to have everything spelled out to them. And if people were not driving around the back streets there would be space for us to walk. -
