Professional dog walkers a menace
seenbeen replied to Ben Reeve-Lewis's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Azalea Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I?m resurrecting this thread to find out if any > controls have been put on commercial dig walkers. I doubt it- On Friday I saw a man with 5 dogs large to smallish walking them in Barry Road near Goodrich Road. BTW: One benefit of the light coloured paving is that you can spot the excrement a mile off now! -

Nowadays we have the option to Scan and shop- it's a breeze and you don't have to talk to anyone. Who was it said 'Hell is other people'?

Really- but that means higher government spending and LOWER taxes.. Labour are good at the former and rubbish at the latter. -

Yes- more lavatories too- most old houses around here have ONE toilet and bathroom but you can bet that any extensions, conversions etc will require at least 2 if not more....in fact I'm sure I saw a house conversion for sale on Crystal Palace Road that boasted 5 bathrooms...

Local school needs funding to continue with counselling service.
seenbeen replied to alice's topic in The Lounge
No indication of which school it is? If it is a local authority school then the local council pays from the education budget. Every cuoncil has a team of Educational Psychologists -
Recycling flowers (brown bin question)

Depressing times. A lot of petty theft can be avoided- as in not leaving stuff in the car or using a mobile in the street. Today I saw a respectable looking young woman in Sainsbury's weigh a potato and put a sticker on it then walk off and put that and an onion (which she did not weigh) in a trolley.... -

Heber is the same- all through the holiday periods, every weekend, all night- lights left on, windows left open. -

What- other than Brexit- is Boris representing- and therefore upholding the democracy? I have quite honestly never found a politician in the UK frightening- until Corbyn.

'Healthy Streets'- you must be joking! I've been out for a walk this evening and I could barely breathe around Landells Road, Jennings Road, Landcroft Road for the wood smoke in the air- the cars are nothing in comparison

'tis the season. Which area? I had an attempted burglary once- when people go to collect the kids from school is a common time.

Getting rid of cardboard boxes
seenbeen replied to stanleytripe's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
when I moved in 1998 the removers supplied the boxes and then we handed them back afterwards.....it appears we were greener 20 years ago -
In the 1970s we had some friends who invited us over for dinner. They had a small child in nappies who was allowed to crawl on the dining table during the meal. When the contents of its nappy started falling onto the table I lost my appetite. And- I have a relative who loves cats and had several in various states of decay some years ago. She invited us to dinner and one of the cats was sitting on the tablecloth. I asked her if it should be sitting there and she said 'I suppose not' then she moved it and proceeded to tell us about its abcesses! I was delighted when she moved into a tiny flat and couldn't entertain at home any more. It isn't really the new demographic- they have been around for some time
