Tiny Little Things That Cause You Irrational Rage

It's not my intention to be dismissive and I can hear your frustration, but I'm feeling rather horrified by your comments about the woman's weight. Sounds like you think fat people should have less right to travel at busy times and that size makes it OK to insult someone (you may not have done it at the time but you have online). Really? What if she has health problems or medication that has made her put on weight? I don't understand why you didn't just tell her you were making room for a pregnant woman. -
Logistics-wise, what kind of event are you thinking, Malumbu? Local - say midday, Sat, Lordship Lane - or are you going for the full Trafalgar Square?

Woodwarde Road low water pressure
Robert Poste's Child replied to Dulwich61's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm close to the bottom end of Woodwarde Rd and hadn't actually noticed there was a problem till reading this. Since midday I've coloured my hair, had a shower, done some washing and washed up. How strange. -
Now I bid you farewell, I don't know when I'll be back They're moving us tomorrow to that tower down the track But you'll be hearing from me baby, long after I'm gone I'll be speaking to you sweetly From a window in the Tower of Song

Thanks for explaining. JLP/Waitrose remains one of the most ethical employers in this country and did fair trade a century ago before there was a name for it, which is a big part of why people like spending money with them. Surely it would be more effective to target someone with a less ethical reputation. Seems unfair and a bit dishonest to focus only on one aspect of what they do.

Can someone explain what this is about? Having trawled through tweets I'm none the wiser and can't be bothered to waste any more time trying to unpack it. Note to campaign: the point of this kind of communication is to make it easy for people to understand the issue and convince them to support you. (CC rage thread.)

Its gonna be President Trump ..!!! ??
Robert Poste's Child replied to Mick Mac's topic in The Lounge
There is a frightening tradition of using war to distract people from problems at home and unite them by identifying a common enemy. America also used the first three years of WW2 to pull themselves out of the great depression economically. As Trump's - successful - campaign so far has been based on hatred, this is looking all too likely as his approach to foreign policy. -

A lying, bullying bigot with no political experience and a serious impulse control problem. How can people possibly think that's a good idea? Feeling very worried right now. -

Stiffen the upper lip, chaps. IARC is French and the French attitude to health is a lot more intense than that of most Brits. I used to work in a mainly French company and it's the only time in my career that colleagues have ever shown a genuine interest in me having a cold, which was nice, though whatever your symptoms they'd always had an aunt whose cancer started that way. -

Ooh, thanks, may have to give those a try. -

Wondering if this is a wind-up, but just in case it's for real... You've posted this on a local forum - used by a lot of people where you live and your daughter goes to school - and you can't see any kind of issue. I think most people would see it as a pretty disloyal, inconsiderate and selfish way to behave and for what it's worth it's making me wonder if you're inconsiderate of your wife's feelings in other ways as well. Please do think again and take the thread down.

Woman sat down next to me on the 176 and has proceeded to have a series of loud conversations on her phone, with the phone on speaker, plus added gestures to act it out. Only thing louder is her perfume. And she can't sit still. -
Surprising that no one has suggested the obvious supernatural cause: the room is clearly possessed by a demonic entity bent on stirring up trouble. You could try an exorcism.

I just say no thanks. Don't understand why people feel a need to lie to them or say something inflammatory.

Passing the C&G earlier I noticed that on the sign with the ETA on it someone has kindly added in bright purple '15/16/17?' Isn't the Nov 7 opening date the Half Moon? Not that that looks likely either.

The other thing they get used for a lot hereabouts is as candle holders for people who are organising their own wedding reception on a budget and going for the village fete / vintage / WI look. There's almost always someone looking in the Wanted section. Also good for holding tealights if you're eating outside on a summer evening.
