  1. Maybe 'Che cazzo?'
  2. They're implying it by marketing food presumably reconstituted to resemble something identifiable as Italian under an Italian name or what would be the point?
  3. That'll be for the dangerous drivers who think 20mph on a residential hilly road is unreasonable. Seriously, have you ever done even 20 on that road and thought it was sensible?
  4. Italians would never eat that kind of stuff.
  5. What's Italian for 'nutrient-free'?
  6. Property owners boring on about how much the value has gone up since they bought it. Thinking back fondly to circa 1990 and the badges that said, 'I don't give a f#ck how much your house is worth'. So glad no one I know does dinner parties any more.
  7. I'm sure he'll be back. Hope so, anyway.
  8. Now with a hint of number two.
  9. Why don't you get together with other concerned members of the congregation and write to him demanding an explanation? I fear that unless you take a direct, active approach the evasive behaviour is likely to continue. They're probably being advised to do that by their lawyers and PR in the interests of damage limitation, but you are stakeholders and have a right to ask questions.
  10. Guess what, I already did. Why even optional? This isn't Twitter.
  11. Why the bleeding hashtags?
  12. When did drinking wine become a non-middle thing? Shouldn't it be cans of Tennants or two-litre bottles of cider?
  13. Louisa, Salsaboy lives in Bromley. You could have a run round his garden while you're waiting for the delivery boy.
  14. How about starting with some market research to find out if there's a market for what you have in mind and what the competition is like, rents etc? You could also look at the business banking sections of a couple of bank websites as they usually have helpful guides for start-ups. If you need a loan to start off then the bank would probably want to see a detailed business plan. You will also need a business banking account. Charges vary, but as a start-up you should be able to get 1-2 years of free banking from them. Good luck.
  15. Perhaps a little ambitious, shall we say.
  16. Apologies for irritable post, Otta. It was an interval during the House of Bernarda Alba performed by the Dulwich Players.
  17. Otta, there's a difference between essentials and buying your 34yo daughter a new iPhone because she dropped her existing iPhone down the loo... Loving the prolier-than-thou tack this is taking, though. So characteristically EDF.
  18. Looks like it's back up again. Perhaps it was a temporary thing while they were adding new documents. Not sure if I've misremembered but it seems like the online form has less room for comment this time - just one text box, max 500 characters.
  19. In the new picture, are those ... clamps? With some electrical cabling?
  20. It's obscene. I never knew BT did fetish-wear.
  21. Has anyone else had problems giving feedback online? I've been trying but the page seems to be down.
  22. You wouldn't think so to judge from this thread.

  24. Life seems to have changed, Louisa. These days 34 is like 14, and a lot of it's because parents refuse to let the little darlings stand on their own two feet. When I first left home - and for a long time after - people didn't go straight from living with parents to renting a flat, or buying one. They rented a room, and often they shared one with someone else. Some of my friends' kids are horrified at they idea that they should even share a bathroom.
