Shoplifter - Co-Op Lordship Lane
Robert Poste's Child replied to soyamocha3's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The ED Coop seems to have a fairly limited ability to deal with shoplifting; there have been threads on similar incidents in the past. Perhaps someone higher up the chain has worked out that it's cheaper to allow it than employ enough security to stop it. -

People experiencing psychosis maya > report hallucinations or delusions and may exhibit > personality changes and disorganised thinking." > > This seems to describe anyone who believes in > fairies just because they are an unfalsifiable > claim quite accurately. As I understand it, the definition excludes things that fall within the bounds of normal human belief and practice as otherwise you could label everyone psychotic. The truth is neither side can prove their point so it's just a matter of personal belief really. It's a term used for a serious mental illness. Talking to God (praying) isn't psychotic; God talking to you is. -

Violence and Son upstairs at the Royal Court was intimate, raw and blisteringly good. -

You forgot the sanctimonious ones who can't pass up an opportunity to make moral judgements about other forumites. -

> Show me the evidence, otherwise I can recommend > you to mental health professionals who can help > with your psychosis. And I can recommend to you health professionals who can help you understand that this is not psychosis, and that when you mis-use the word in order to dismiss someone else's opinion you're trivialising a horrible and frightening illness. -
I was in Brixton at the time. The march was escorted by a heavy police presence and it completely disrupted transport for a while as the road was full of buses that had been emptied. A lot of weed and alcohol - I saw several people obviously off their faces wobbling into police vans and nearly getting themselves run over. A particularly nice touch was the people at the back stickering everything they passed, chucking the paper on the floor as they peeled it off. Because that's how you show you care about the area you live in, isn't it. Not sure how representative they were of the local population either as most were white and I passed several non-white locals who were grumbling about it. Ironically, some actually appeared to be the same post-gentrification incomers they were protesting against.

Bloody hell, you did well there.

Thank you for those words of comfort, Maxxi. -
A farmer I know says free range is crazy as you can't possibly vouch for the quality of the chickens' meat or eggs if they're free to roam and forage for themselves.

Most of the jobs in CCP pay crap all and don't count as professional acting jobs so this one would fit right in.

Re the point on private healthcare, I'm currently having some stuff done privately at London Bridge Hospital and there have been more delays and faffing than I experience with my local GP or Kings. Wish I hadn't bothered frankly. -
And you must be 'outgoing' because otherwise people might think housework is dull.

Getting home to find the postman has shoved something through the door while bleeding all over it. Of course I only realise that after pulling it out of the door, so then have to scrub hands and bleach brush things in letterbox. -

The sign outside JAGS for some kind of martial arts classes which includes the line: 'Adults, children, women'. Great to have clarified the distinction. Thank you so much. -

Salsa, you guessed right - I've got Quids locked up in the bedroom. He's not coming out till those windows are really sparkling. I've been having a forum break due to being a bit bored with it for a while and busy with work. May still dip in from time to time.

And the coat rack is still looking great, too (the previous one had fallen down by this point). I'm logging off for the weekend to do other stuff but others can feel free to continue pulling my character apart in my absence.

I've noticed in the past that after these kinds of incidents the perps often spend the next few days going out of their way to be nicer to other posters and generally appear more reasonable. See if you can spot it.

Sometimes your posts make me cringe, too, AM. Several blind spots in the one above, for example.

No, I'm not, MrBen. My original ID that dated from, I think, early 2008 was deleted when I left so I had to choose a new name when I came back a couple of years after that, but I've never been more than one person at once. I remember Giggirl. And Moos.

First and most importantly, a BIG thank you to lovely Salsa for your kindness, and also to everyone else who has been supportive or tried to remain neutral. I really appreciate it. I haven?t been on the forum since Tuesday, though it may not have appeared that way as my laptop and phone log me in automatically. Busy with a truckload of other stuff at the moment, not least family problems and a new job. Once I saw Otta?s original post and the aftermath I also wanted to pause and think before replying. Otta, I don?t know if you realise that you haven?t actually addressed any comments to me personally? I don?t know if you?re interested in my point of view or just wanted to relieve your own feelings. My guess is the latter as you criticised me harshly on a public forum in the third person, effectively inviting other people to join in. You said you intended it to be a PM rather than a public post, but you haven?t deleted it ? in fact you?ve repeatedly defended it ? so I get that you did/do mean it. Your apologies, such as they are, seem to be directed at your friends rather than me. El Pibe?s rather snide comments certainly seem to be aimed at making you feel better. It?s fair comment that some of my posts have been critical and impatient recently. I?ve certainly felt bored and frustrated with the forum in recent months: big real-life stuff is taking up all my energy and at times some people seem incredibly self-involved here. Maybe that just means I?m ready for a(nother) break. To pick up on one point, bit unfair to blame me for Alan Medic?s departure. We did have a brief spat when I thought he was accusing me of something he didn?t intend, but it was done and dusted in three posts. I thought the trigger for him was the Curry Club thread but I?m sure he can speak for himself when he?s ready. And ?pure hate? is a very extreme accusation, KK ? did you really mean that? You?re entitled to your opinions about me and what I say, but I?d respect them - and you - more if you said them to me directly. Maybe you?re right and some people do send each other nasty PMs about other forumites. I don?t know: I never have and I?ve never received any either. I?ve supported a few people who I thought were being attacked unfairly, though, as I know what it?s like, having left the forum in the past after a particularly vicious one. In other words ? yet another passive-aggressive, ganging-up-in-the-playground bloodletting by members of the clique and hangers-on. Welcome to another week in the Lounge. For anyone not familiar with the term ?flouncing?, it?s used by the more bullying-prone cliquey types to diminish other people?s hurt reactions after upsetting them to the point where they feel they can?t stay. So that's my response if anyone wanted one. I'm not particularly interested in dissecting this further, but knock yourselves out if that's your idea of fun.
