  4. Hard to disagree with Huguenot's comments in any way. Fortunately, like those wise sages of yesteryear Messrs Davy Jones,Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Pete York, I am,too, a Believer but I also believe to enjoy ones life as much as possible one should give the widest of wide births to anyone who is too involved with Religion or Politics as they, inevitably, have a closed mind themselves, and yet seek to influence most people they come into contact with:))

Makes an awful lot of sense Jeremy, I must say. Shame I can't find a thread from 1/2 years ago on another Forum where some older Guys(Mid-30's!) were criticising the yoof(lol) for using "teh" on a regular basis though!!

As a simple person, my point was a simple one in that some people are CHOOSING to use "teh" instead of "the" and that Wikipedia definition that I looked up does clearly say that this phrase IS part of "Internet Slang", which would imply that I am right, wouldn't it?

Sorry, I seem to have your response to this.. Actually RosieH RosieH RosieH perhaps you could explain why other words in regular usage like "and" and "are" aer (did U see what I did there) not in any significant numbers subject to "Typo's"
  12. Well Bignumber5 and RosieH (the other contributors were polite so ignore this) "Teh is an INTERNET SLANG neologism most frequently used as an English article, based on a common misspelling of the. A common typographical error, this typo BECAME A PART OF INTERNET SLANG and subsequently developed grammatical usages distinct from the.[1] It is not common in spoken or written English outside technical or leetspeak circles, but when spoken, it is pronounced /tə/"..... Now Bignumber5 I may well be a daft sod,as you so eloquently and loquaciously put it but the above definition seems to this daft sod to defintely say that "teh" IS INTERNET SLANG, i.e. Used on The Internet DELIBERATELY by some.... So teh question really BN5 ..who is the daft sod now me old mucker(tu)
  13. One more point BN5 is how come anyone rarely sees another very common word "and" never or rarely spelt "adn" if your point was that its the "same three letters, put in the wrong order"...why is this "typo" non-existent(almost) to use just one other example.
  14. bignumber5 Wrote: - if it is about "why is a certain typo so common" then give over you daft sod. Fascinating reply. Completely and utterly and totally illogical but fascinating I'll grant you. So allow this daft sod to ask you bignumber5 why this oh-so-common typo which occurs again and again almost never occurred, say 4/5 years ago? I eagerly await your reply:)
  15. Where were you? I was waiting by The Harvester! p.s.It is still there isn't it?:))
  16. So its autopilot or whatever its called but just one teensy-weensy thing....a few years ago I never heard or saw anyone use "teh" instead of "the" and in the last 2/3 years its prevalent. Why is that then?
  17. RosieH Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't know Tony, how many ladies have texted > you, you big show off? Er,2 actually... In fact not "2" loads and loads..too many to mention, let alone count in one night...
