  5. KalamityKel Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Oooo someone at last who makes sense! Wotcha gonna do eh? Go to Peckham Rye and get a "12" to The Old Nun's Head in Nunhead Green to see if the Lady Superior of the nunnery, who was killed during the Reformation and had her head chopped off and stuck on a pike-staff outside,is still there. Then I'll return to my beloved East Lane Market(which I used to live over). Go down THe WAlworth Road,go to The Elephant and get a Bus to Brixton to visit Brixton Market and then get a Tube to Central London and then maybe onto Hampstead Heath. n.b.Please note that this itinerary is Subject to change or alteration without notice. Coming along for the ride Darling?:)-D
  6. He has called his friend "Sooty" who, apparently, hasn't been upset at all about this affectionate term. Will the Media Sweep this under the carpet or will his friend now Sue?;-)

  10. In 1979 I was travelling on a 12 around The Elephant and Castle one day and the next flew to Los Angeles. The next week I went to a State Fair in Portland,Oregon and a 12 went by on its own, being part of the parade! Complete with all regular stops featured.Felt immediately homesick and rather proud!>:D<
  11. Tell them NOTHING Tibby!
  12. How sad that the overwhelming majority on here were, obviously, too young to have the pleasure of listening to The BBC when they were truly the Professional Broadcasters of Sport,in particular. David Vine was so versatile that he personified that by fronting: Sportscene, Quiz Ball, It's A Knock Out, Jeux Sans Frontieres, The Horse of the Year Show, Miss UK, Miss World, Eurovision Song Contest, Wimbledon, Grandstand, The Superstars, and the Winter and Summer Olympic Games.......add the face of Snooker and Ski Sunday and he really was the ultimate Professional. David Vine:R.I.P
  13. As long as "Jones and Higgins" is still in Peckham you will be all right.
  14. I remember where the quote came from:- Twas in The Rovers Return when Ena Sharples posed the question to Minnie Caldwell and Marta Longhurst. Can't recall the reply as it was in '61....
  15. H hosted "Quiz Ball" as well as was especially known for Ski On Sunday. Had a big production Company,as I recall. David:R.I.P.

LOL..That was what my comment referred to Loiusiana as I know there hasn't been a Political uprising in Israel:)) I had to play on words using coup as "coo" would have been too obvious....as for your coop...I'm going to shop there later! 19. Is anti-clockwise "in" this year?
  20. While we're on the Subject, has anyone ever seen a Baby Pigeon either in Israel or anywhere else for that matter(!)

  23. 2 Charming Young Men from Stockwell took a day trip out to Alfriston,a small Village in picturesque Sussex last year to raid the local Post Office of a really nice Family. "Ironically" the Family felt the need to flee from London Town as they no longer considered it safe. Members of the local Community saw these 2 lovable little urchins running out from the shop(found out later they had threatened the terrified Mum with a Gun) caught them and beat the living s**t out of them. Sadly, sorry I mean luckily, these pieces of Human excrement survived and are now in one of Her Majestys Establishments.... p.s Being the fantastically "L"iberal place we have here I trust no-one will attach any blame to the poor misguided "yoof" who committed these crimes---it ain't their fault! Should just get a ?10 fine and a couple of hours "Community Service" whatever we do we shouldn't punish the little cherubs. Think of The 'uman Rights of the robbers, the're the real victims here. PEACE AND LOVE. Ringo Starr.
