  2. Is it a recipe for Cassis or similar? Please god no, I?m not sure I can take the excitement.
  3. This is the thing that ?scares? people. Maybe there?s a disconnect between rhetoric and policy, but it?s an interesting clip on Labour, billionaires and taxing the wealthy. https://apple.news/An2SiECIpSzSbogmiCw5uQA You?ve also got countries like Portugal offering wealthy citizens residency.

  5. Franks Boyle sums it up in this article. Many people wish David Cameron had never called the referendum in the first place. It says a lot about how badly the last couple of years have gone, that there?s a guy who destroyed Libya, presided over needless austerity and fukced a pig, and we wish that he?d just used his own judgment. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/dec/07/frankie-boyle-election-countdown-praying-prorogue-next-parliament

  11. I watched, or tried to watch the Andrew Marr ?interview? How can anyone take that seriously, like really, wtf. But sadly they do. I?m sure there?s a whole group of lifers in the Tory party looking on and wondering the same thing. It?s like a description I read of Johnson, likened to a rhino. He stomps, charges and throws dust up to cover his movements. He avoids the truth in questions and adds false premises and half factual statements, and then bullies on with bare faced lies, one after the other. You saw how he weaponised the London Bridge attacks, where he knowingly attempted to turn the situation onto anyone but him and his party, their cuts and policies. Lies, mis truths, parry, deflection and blame. He?s been condemned by many respected prison reformers, and campaigners over it. But he?s shameless, and opportunistic. Dead people are collateral now. Anything is armoury to fire at the opposition. (How many times has he mentioned Jeremy Corbyn now?) It?s like a snuff movie, where reality and anything you might recognise as decency in campaigning is killed off, live on screen, as the camera keeps rolling. I?d talked to my kids in the past about the dangers of in complacency in voting, how historically the far right fed on it, but I?d been talking from a distance in time, looking back. But never did I think we?d be looking at such a blatant far right propaganda driven group of politicians in our lifetime, not here in our own country. It?s shocking, disturbing, and also very very real. And lastly, the disowning comments about the past ten years of Tory rule, with ?I?ve only been PM for 120 days!? as if that exonerates him from the policies and practices that have lead this country to this most challenging of places, is testament alone to the duplicity of the man. He, they are not to be be trusted, they don?t care that you know that either. They?ll do anything, anyhow, to form the next government. God fookin help us!
  12. Really, this needs to be retired to the ?Old Threads Home? Things have moved on, it?s nearly 2020

Please Lou, turn down the Crank-O-Meter just once a year. There?s so much fun to be had. You can watch telly with tinsel on it, you can watch all the Christmas special things you love. The Grinch Elf People lining up out side not one, but two cheese shops in East Dulwich Town. If you want, grab a train to London?s Borough Market and watch the queue snake around outside for the biggest (all British) cheese shop of them all, Neal?s Yard Dairy. Steve McQueen not quite making the jump over the barbed wire fence, in The Great Escape. I?ve watched that dozens of time and each year I say ?he?s going to make it this year!?. That?s the optimistic, glass half full kinda guy I am. Bah humbug, bah ?Cornish Yarg?

That article was from 2001, it mentions the changes, but little else and nothing about MSG in the article. I?m wondering if you?ve ever eaten there? Or is this a place that you?ve just heard about, and assumed it was poor quality, because it?s ?cheap? and therefore it?s assumed to be ?full of MSG? Lazy conformation bias is a dangerous thing.
