  1. Mark... What will the Safer Neighbourhood Team Do? You can't just leave a report of a sighting of known trouble makers, they need to be delt with at the time. Even if they are doing nothing; seemingly, the police have every right to stop them and ask them what they ARE doing out at night hanging around the streets. Especially as they are believed to have been involved in quite a few unpleasant incidences.
  2. If anyone sees these spineless little b*tches again, call the police will you. Get them picked up and taken away. They may be young but they aren't untouchable. I'm always coming home at that time, and MR MW74 always meets me and walks me home. I shall keep more of a look out in future. Even if they don't seem to be 'up to' anything if I see them, I'm calling the rozzers.
  3. move with the times...everything needs an update now and then
  4. I'm affraid GB that it's inevitable that Forest Hill will go the way of LLane. I too like to see the old style shops remain.'Open All Hours' style get up. I do like the fact that The Herne, FHT have had a revamp. I don't tend to go in because I find them souless and frankly quite boring. Virgopunk, I love your style and welcome your honest thoughts to this forum. I have been known to be outspoken and get up the noses of many a forumite in the past for speaking my mind. Oh, how awful of me. I say long live the Co-Ey, but please get it sorted asap, because it really is poor. I feel so bloody sorry for the people who work in there. They take shitloads of abuse of some arrogant w*nkers that come in and they still have the decency to say 'Sir' when they ask for the amount of the bill. And they always wish me a pleasant day/weekend etc.
  5. just tossing a light hearted, not seriously meant comment to Louisa. No harm done.... MW74...or 'Mad' as I seem to have become known.....oh dear.
  6. what would you have there instead? I like the idea of a co-op...it's like old times.
  7. I went into the co-op last night and bought a ?3.99 Co-Op Fairtrade bottle of Chillean Carmenere. I poured it, brought it to my lips and braced myself for what I though would be truly horrid vino (I wasn't in the mood to trek to Green and Blue's last night, so made do with the co-op)...to be utterly amazed!!!! Really really nice wine. The co-op is so bad I never buy anything apart from bottled water, but NOW I will get more of their wine. Why not ay? When I was a kid the local co-op in the Sussex village where I lived, was brillaint! I still have fond memories of their mint and chocolate ice cream cups, they used to do. Shame the one round the corner from me now is so poor. I mean blood flowing out of the pre-packed chickens at the front of the shop in the 'chiller'.....come on that is disgusting. I doesn't matter how pleasant' the staff are or how low their wages. Is it is shop seeling produce, or not?
  8. well...that's what the rozzers told me after it had happend. And I guess I didn't know better myself.
  9. I wonder why you still live in the area Louisa......really I do.
  10. Jah Still Has A Hangover ouch
  11. Blow-ins (count it as one word, oh go on) Foxtons Bugaboo Vivacious Achingly Trendy
  12. Used to go to Beauty Plus but found prefer Therapy on Melbourne Grove. More modern and less......tacky.:-S
  13. Service always friendly, and food basic but great! Very noisey sometimes, but all good Italian restaurants should be! It's the charm.
  14. www.itv.com/local has the list the post offices closing
  15. thanks guys...I asked because when I lived in Brighton I was attacked by a man who was from the local 'hospital' and receiving care. He was a patient under the new Care in the Community and as a result, no prosecution could be made against him. I think that has clouded my views somewhat since then. I am however going to be taking part in a run for the chairty MIND in May of this year, running to raise money for those who suffer from mental illness. I think living in London, some of us at some point are likely to suffer from some sort of 'mental illness' ie: depression, due to stress; and depression no matter how slight, is a mental illness.
  16. their food is not good quality, and the shop is dirty. The staff are very friendly but that isn't enough when the produce is poor. Best bargain in there at the moment is the ?5.99 oaked verdout. I think Forest Hill will take off big time. What with the new development/converted church taking place over the way. I love!!! Si Mangia. Great little eatery.
  17. hhmmm yes I've already had a look at that. PK quote: with the Maudsley just up the road ED and Camberwell probably see more than their fair share of 'mad' people, but 'mad' does not necessarily 'bad' (though it might mean socially inappropriate anyway)' The Maudsley; their patients aren't a 'danger' are they? .....sorry to sound Victorian!
  18. I was into thinking that asylums were dispanded in the early 90's due to a new law passed on the treatment of the 'mentally ill' in 1980. Who do the Maudsley actually cater for, tell me more Snorky?
  19. he's approached both myself and MR MW several times......

You may have all the trappings of viewable wealth like the ipod, phone, nice bag...but just make sure you can run if you need to.

I would love a little cafe in their sellling great coffee. Used to pop into Le Chandelier but I now feel it's a bit to 'glam' if you just want a cup of something. I usually go after the gym and look pretty red faced and unattractive. A little cafe where I could go without having to put make up and smart clothes on, would suit me to a t.
  22. Mr MW74 has wet himself over the USA vintage clothing.....oh my God! please we have no more room in the house for his clothes as it is.....but maybe if he buys bag loads full....so can I, perfect excuse...he he
  23. woops :-$ sorry. yes i will push through, if you see me, usher me to the front and i can pretend im someone really important ;-) good luck, and sorry about the tights!
  24. You must have earnt it so take it. Don't listen to a forum. A mixture of anti this and anti that, jelousy and other self opinionated nonsense. Take it and congratulations. (tu)
