Another recommendation for TSS. Installed a new aerial and satellite dish and removed an entire wheelie bin load of excess wiring accumulated over the years both inside and outside the house. Very polite, tidy and covid compliant. Wore shoe protectors and masks inside the house. Charged exactly as quoted, even though they had to use additional materials. Extremely reasonably priced considering the amount of work they did. Gave excellent advice and choices; no pressure selling.

Does anyone know of any local charity shops doing home collections at the moment? Alex TLC (Ald Life) in Peckham were, but have stopped due to staff shortage.

I have also noticed several staff in M&S at ED station don't wear masks and have reported this on line to their Customer Service dept. I was advised that this would be taken up with the manager, but nothing has changed. In particular, the person who regularly serves on the bakery, wears her mask around her neck and the staff on the Help Desk are usually maskless. There also isn't a screen on the Help Desk, which I would have expected to be a standard fixture.

Booked for myself and my husband using 119. Took about 10 mins to book 1st and 2nd appts for both of us. Had vaccinations at Junction Pharmacy in Coldharbour Lane. We were the only people there for vaccinations. Staff lovely, pharmacy spotlessly clean. Whole process took about 15 mins. Well pleased!

I had to go to Camberwell Green this morning. About 11ish, there was no queue to get in the small Lidl and they were well stocked with fresh fruit, veg and salad. No queue to get in the Co-op or Morrisons either. If you don't need much, this is a good option to queuing.

Hi IANR - thanks for the info. Unfortunately, most of the post boxes in my locality are designated 'priority' and parcel drop boxes, but they all seem to be standard size!

According to the Royal Mail website, because the parcels are 48 hour tracked, I can't take them to a post office! Don't ask me why. Think I will give it a try though.

Does anyone know where the nearest Royal Mail parcel drop box to Ivanhoe Road is located? According to the Royal Mail website, its on the corner of Ivanhoe Rd and Avondale Rise, however, although my parcel is within the size limit of a large letter, the post box is at least 2 inches too small. Does anyone know if any of the local post offices have parcel drop boxes? If not I will have to traipse down to the sorting office at Camberwell Green or arrange pickup at extra cost. Thanks

Our post comes from Camberwell sorting office and is usually pretty good. However, yesterday our postie (who is a diamond) told us that as they are short staffed, they have been told to prioritise parcels and only deliver letters if they have time. So we might be short of Xmas cards this year!

My granddaughter is at Wilmington Girls Grammar. After passing the 11 plus for her area, there was no entrance exam, the main criteria for entry was distance. Parents also had to provide proof that they lived in the school catchment area. She lives about 1/4 mile from the school and only just got in.

My granddaughter is in her 2nd year at a grammar school in Kent. Her parents had to provide proof that they had lived in their house (in Kent) for at least 2 years prior to application, so I don't think you stand much chance of acceptance even if you move now.

Hi Just tap in your contactless card when you get on the bus. You only need to tap in and out if you travel on the Tube or National Rail. The fare will show on your account at the end of the day.

Its not always possible for a child to go to school within walking distance of home. My grand daughter was turned down for all the primary schools close to her home. If her parents hadn't been able to drive her to the school she was eventually allocated, it would have meant a two bus journey of nearly an hour each way.
