I am now NOT thinking about moving.... I like the vets I already have (oh fickle me... what was I thinking) It won't 'kill' my cat Ruby to be a all of 5/10 more minutes in the car!!! Lordship Lane Vets are BRILLIANT!!!!! xxCC

I have been going to the Lordship Lane vet since I got my cat as a kitten 18 mths ago (never had a pet before so did not know what to expect). I have always been really pleased with the treatment of my cat (and me for that matter as I get rather stressed by the fact that the cat hates going in the car). My cat seems really calm when she's there and the vets and nurses have been brilliant. The only draw back is that it is a bit far from my home.... will keep an eye on this post and think about changing as it is much closer...

have got a more detailed proposal but the file is too big to attach, could email you the info Peckhamgatecrasher, if you PM me your email address. Have done a rough planting scheme and a proper costing and all, but not suitable for open forum (i.e. sketch is not up to my exacting standards to publish it!!!!) xxCC

good news, got the funding planting will happen in Autumn but have an idea for the interim... watch this space and thanks for all those positive comments.... xxCC http://www.angusthompsondesign.com/content/portfolio-10/17/urban-meadow-oxford-4.jpg ----------------------------------------------- Dear All, last year (just after the riots) I put in an application for a Southwark 'small grants' called 'Cleaner Green Safer' to improve the entrance to the Choumert Grove car park (by doing some planting to the central and side beds in front of the recycling bins). The idea is to work with young people in the Borough on a small joint project to increase sense of 'ownership' and pride in the area, and of course to improve the overall look of the car park for passers by to and from the station and users of the car park. Southwark ran out of funding last year... but a few weeks ago they contacted me to say that I could reapply as there were funds available. I really value the opinions of others, so your vies would be much appreciated. some of the additional benefits would be as follows:- Improve environment bordering conservation area and proposed extension of conservation area towards Rye Lane Reduction of use of chemicals - currently Southwak are spraying to keep weeds down Screen off useful recycling area to decrease visual impact to street side view Create a haven for pollenating insects There are also studies that show that greening urban environments helps reduce anti-social behaviour I guess if you think it is a bad idea than I better ask for your views too!!! and take it on the nose!!! Spring is coming thanks xx Charlie Charlie see a very rough idea attached!!!

What about "Tranquility, relaxation and the slower pace' We're all effected by the ever increasing pace of life, and the benefits of a quiet green space are limitless. Children (and adults too of course!) can gain the art of patience through gardening, you can't rush a plant! Like the Slow Food Movement, started in Itlay, there are all sorts of interesting SLOW things happening in the UK and specifically in London We could even make the garden a 'member' of the UK Slow Movement! http://www.slowfood.com/ http://slowfoodlondon.blogs.com/ http://www.slowmovement.com/ http://slowmovement.co.uk/about/ -

I Have bronze fennel seeds saved for spring sowing (let me know when you are ready and I will come and sprinkle them in the allotted place) ps I hear that fennel seed tea boosts sex drive... whay hey, roll on Autumn 2012 when there will be enough seeds for the whole of East Dulwich!!!! (on a more serious note.... also good for PMT) looks lovely as a backdrop to all sorts of other herbs and plantley lovelies... http://www.7wells.co.uk/ekmps/shops/7wells/images/bronzefennelmay.jpg Notes off internet says as such! Propagation: Directly fennel sow seeds into your garden as early in the season as the ground can be worked. Sow seeds early in the season and cover with 1/4" of soil. -
sorry... but is there a typo in the title of this thread? is it meant to read... Is David Cameron a to**er? http://communiststudents.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/cameron.jpg
