Being a driver who use to go above the speed level but no longer, the ones that flash up in my humble opinion do draw your attention to the fact that you are speeding or over the limit.Certainly the ones in RosendakexRoad and also road along Crystal Palace Park, I have noticed a reduction in speeding but that is only my humble opinion. Dare say, others here will have different ideas and opinions.

Now we have a white van that has lost abit of its side with a flat tyre parked opposite the Elms in Barry Road that has been there for over 24 hours nd will no doubt either be dumped there or what? One would assume man whose name is on piece of paper on front might wantvitvforcwork but clearly not. Cars racing up road last night - circa 10 ish....

Saturday morning activities for 7yr old from Sept
beansprout replied to emilyr0se's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Ruskin Park Trapeeze? Football in various parks. Try families south east - not sure if they have activities just on Sat but you could look. Libraries do stuff for free as well. Someone was thinking about setting up arts and craft but you will have to search. Hornimen have activities as does Dulwich Picture Gallery -
Sure B & Q would sell them -Lidls, haven't been but thank you for the tip - I too suffer, cold tea bags are a temp measure as are eye drops. Not sure if the shop that sells virtually everything, near Picture House might sell some.

As do I, as far as 20 mph goes.. Thought, stupidly after yesterday's incident, traffic might just might slow down.. And they did, but guess what, back to racing track.. Like I said in a previous thread, just time, before there is a major incident.. And where or where are these newly elected councillors? Surely they must have got their surgeries sorted by now? Think they were even "brave" enough to introduce themselves and what.. Silence... Time, "We" as EDF, do something.. Like as Pugwash said traffic speeding exercise at all hours of the day - not just at peak times - not suggesting every hour - we all have phones with cameras and since there seems to be nothing forthcoming from newly elected councillors, council strapped for cash, why don't we all just snap..? No money involved.. Not sure where to go from here, but very sure all ED F folk will have ideas..

Certainly agree and as I have said more than happy to sign a petition. As I think all who have posted on this thread..... Now it has happened. Interestingly, just come back home and due to presence of police car with lights. Drivers are definitely slowing down. It also occurred to me yesterday evening when I was driving along Barry Road that even reprinting 20 mile signs on road would at least make drivers more aware. Still think and don't know how expensive it would be but to clock cars driving faster than 20 mph would be good - there are a lot of schools near the road and whilst parents, cares, nanny's etc keep the kids under control they often have a couple riding ahead and with best will in the world, kids beingvkidsxmightbnot stop at junction and if more than one no way can adults have eyes everywhere. We have already had on this post, mention of a kid who survived been thrown in the air.

After the nightmare that has happened in Dulwich Village over the last few months for a few yards of cycle lanes and no sooner had the junction box been painted on the ground, council realised a big mistake after spending a morning there - several of them. The box mysteriously disappeared. Surely, if they can afford to spend so much money on that which I thought was to extend to Court Lane as well, then they could have a consultation - unless a campaign gets underway with local support, frankly nothing will happen, until an accident happens and as this neighbourhood is so "child friendly" imagine the consequences..... Rant over.

Can I place information about monthly series of music at hospice and review on new vets - first in what is on although not in ED but Penge and second in lounge Also what is the form about selling pets - fully understand that this is a public forum but do feel that other platforms should be used re selling animals - just interested so I don't offend folk

I couldn't agree with you more - more like a race track at certain times of the day. I looked the other day and seems to me that whilst there is 20mph signs at top end - by church, doesn't seem to be any other markings. Not sure about road by Peckham Rye. Would happily sign a petition for introducing some form of calming measure - know that Southwark Council I think need to monitor road for a period of time before doing something about it.

South London Jazz Orchestra - heard them play yesterday afternoon in Ruskin Park and mentioned anyone can join. Think it might be community led? Anyway, I thought they were good.

Had them a couple of years ago by cafe area and near FP Building - was told not enough use at all so went.!! Real pity - would sign petition or whatever to get them installed but need more than just a couple in park. -
Go onto Ruskin Park website - think kids pool is no open. Wouldn't have thought you could go near paddling pool in Brockwell today as they have event on and seem to have closed off vast sections of park

Cost per person to be discussed. PM if interested.

OMG.. only just joined Talk Talk and customer service etc is so appalling have left for a competitor. Speed was not even up to scratch and they admitted it.. What was strange was the fault I had from existing supplier b4 I moved to them was still there even though BT guy came and assured me that he had installed a new line. Broke my contract as they could not help - tried but you are sent to a call centre out of UK. I got South Africa and Phillipines. Finally demanded to speak to a Manager. To make sure this was all documented, sent e mails. They do respond, days later. Expect calls from Welcome Department - who don't actually know what is going on with your account, would have thought that in this tech age, everything should be on screen..praise, complaints, etc.. Certainly not in my case.. The problem so I understand it is everything comes out of a box somewhere and don't assume, if you are near two boxes you are likely to get connected to them. All other companies aside from I believe Virgin & Sky use BT lines.. Then you have the problem as to who is responsible for which bit of line. BT I am told might or did in the past put their prices up by 50 % whilst still in contract.. Having learnt all of this, when to be frank I neither had the time or patience.. I guess there is too much traffic on lines at certain times & whoever you go through unless it is Virgin or Sky simply in my very basic understanding too many folk and teck using a line. Could go into it further but well, at the end of the day, it is the companies that control it and depends on where line starts and finishes with regard to who is responsible for what. Gone rthough different frequency as well.. Given a website fast.com which in my case showed the different speeds at different times. Good luck to all.. All I want is a reliable service not one that is so erratic, you never know what is happening..sometimes e mails went through, others not at all, and as I run a small business just cannot afford this. What I have learnt, is not to put all your eggs in one basket - so, my broadband will be with one company and my cell with another - if one goes down or weather or anything else, at least you have another company. Guess if I was in my 20/30's or that era, now fully understand why the young have 2 phones.. Only wonder what happens to the older generation who experience what I have been through. Hope this helps some... Not a rant as such, but more frustration to have to learn about all this..good learning curve though.. Not sure what to expect from next supplier.... Thinking about going back to paper pen and fax..!!

MISSING AGAIN! lost rescue dog - Podenco IRIS (tan/white)
beansprout replied to Marie81's topic in Lost, Found or Stolen
I was in DV circa 6.30 & passed half moon lane as well. Green Dale, that was what I was thinking of..sadly, no sighting.. I only mention the hospital'cause a couple of years ago, that was where a dog was found after extensive looking but, by pure chance & no building works as now.If it is scared and no doubt hungry, just hope it is found soon...clearly must be hiding somewhere during the day & the only other places I can think of are school grounds. Will be out again tomorrow anyhow, so will check if more sightings. How about putting photos up on trees - not all use forum.
