Love Dulwich rebranding as Turkish Restaurant
beansprout replied to Angell34's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We are talking Sunday not Saturday! Is Saray the one opposite Brockwell Park? Think it is - always quiet when we have been there but we eat early - forgot that one. Thanks. Food was ok not bad not good but staff are nice - that was six months ago. Ohh excellent as you are a veggie too.. Will check out Dai Due Fratelli - thanks. No Thai I am referring too is up a few shops from Oxfam Book Shop… -

Thanks pinkeyes - not what we are looking for lunch on Sunday. Prob saved Eats Dulwich time too! umm not sure what to do about Love Dulwich - gather guys and staff that ran it no longer do— not impressed with bloke I spoke to and doubt it will be busy on Sun - would love to be proven wrong ….. just have a bad vibe but we will see. Never had a problem with Vietnamese place as been there many time - but not for six months - might just trot down on Sat and see if staff are still the same. Johnnies have new team as well! Gail’s closed - that is not a surprise as was going down hill when I last went. Well folks, can anyone suggest anywhere else? That offers more than a green or mixed salad for my vegetarian folk? Can be Asian or Thai as well - anyone been to the place on Half Moon Lane near Bookshop or has that changed hands as well.. Might just settle for pizza in West Dulwich along Rosendale Road unless they have changed chef and hands. Must be somewhere in East Dulwich that caters for the odd vegetarian - maybe not but find it amazing that nothing in East Dulwich. What is the Italian like in the side road by East Dulwich Station? Think folk have mentioned it was good - no idea what it is called. -

Any more comments on Love Dulwich please? Is it as good as one says? Hard to judge as since I have been back, each time I am up and down lordship Lane practically no one there. Only a tad concerned as c have booked for Sunday as taking a party there… can change to Viet place further down - good is great there but not as comprehensive for my veggie friends. Do recommend anywhere else - they eat fish and veggies. Tks. -
BAD ADVICE FROM HOLLAND & BARRETT
beansprout replied to i*Rate's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Why don’t you just take it back and ask for a refund - explain obviously if already open. Not surprised at all - one in Bromley looks up what you are asking for on Google or if you need advice samething - Dafty here, thought they came from a nutritional background as thought H k B were leaders in their field. -
Might well be the cause if you were free until this change….

You’re def on the menu !!! Have you changed your spray as in deodorant if not- just think you are tasty!! Might be a combination of how sweat is affecting your body - at a loss but once these little bugger decide you are tasty they don’t disappear fast….

Wow - that is expensive I lost my toe nail years ago via fungus and it grew back. Has your nail grown back now? Assume so or getting there. So to be clear, you are looking for someone to cut your toe nails?

Is the skate park going to remain? Would love to think yes, but prob not.
-
Seriously? Pulled down…
-
Has this been sorted now ? Think it must be ongoing concern - hate to think that a dog is in distress - no excuse.

Not being paying any attention but think most Co provide SIM small or larger - comes as standard. Have heard good things about Lebara - all on line, not tested yet, but almost there. Arrives 24/48 hours, SIM arrives - really cheap like £6 per month.. but like as mentioned , have to use maybe once a month - others can help more than I

Why don’t you ask park people? Or do they not exist any more - use tobe in FR Building— left hand side as you enter, past toilets

Broadband recommendations (- swapping from Sky)

Not sure if this is relevant, as I am old bat, but if you are on benefits, most of the providers will offer you more or less speed at same price as other people pay but I hasten to add - depends how clued up sales rep is - usually some call centre somewhere and sadly, can’t get super super fast. Worth looking into thou.. Sorry, should have read reduced price -
Where to take a 9 year old during summer holiday.

Tough getting there by train, when you have disabilities but, you know what, is possible…Elizabeth line is step free, just all the walking around and escalators but, if I was not so stubborn, staff are always there to help. -

Yes, just ask -
That is ok

Learnt along time ago never assume….

You have a problem with this?I spend sometime in ED - admittedly not all year.
-
As far as ED is concerned, certainly can’t called it “Speedy” anything.. I wonder if all of London has this problem? Certainly not the case where I am in the country. Not close to a town but get regular delivery much to my astonishment compared to the shite delivery service in ED which has been going on since whoever thought the idea to close office in Sylvester Road. As a matter of interest, are these post boxes in Central London? Would be a good tourist trap “photo of King Charles 3 Post Box”? If one called Time Out and asked for King Charles 3 Post Box to be added to tourist attractions - more people coming into local area equals more money spent in local shops…
-
Why..?? In other countries, no one makes such a song and dance.. We are only talking about a cutting - years ago, one would ask but now, people don’t even se each other - let alone ask .. everyone is busy.. Says it all, when someone takes what? A cutting at night and on CCTV…. More important things in world I would have thought.. so at Halloween, when one has trick and treat, all going to be monitored on CCTV.. just in case a fight breaks out.. One chooses to live in a city, so just get on with it - rich & poor alike / ED is what? Oh, so it is fine to take a cutting from a park? But not in passing in a front garden??

You clearly do not know, how much it costs.. An example, little change from £100 if granny & gramps plus 2 want to do an activity in London ..& that is not adding in kids pick a toy each at the end or, ice cream - that alone for 4 - no change from a tenner. Yes, of course one can take a picnic, drinks etc & do it cheaply, & yes - plenty of attractions for free, kids go free etc but, at the end of the day, if you are grand parents & only see your grand kids a couple of times a year, if you are lucky.. that is what it costs..!! Times have moved on - I am old ..looking as an example.. Paddington Bear experience for a family,, -

In this day and age, nobody seems to be held account for anything and people don’t seem to care - if they did, why can Dulwich Estate get away with this unless of course, all during its non occupation as a pub whoever rented it continued to pay rent -
