Hi I really hope the lil geezer pulls through, please don't give up hope as there are options for catbros with injured back legs https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10404251 https://www.k9carts.com/cat-wheelchair https://www.amazon.com/HiHydro-Wheelchair-Handicapped-Doggie-Stainless/dp/B0792S1JPR

Thanks for being so awesome and caring Sue! I really hope Gordon makes it and has many more treats to steal and laps to nap on to come.

I do apologise; not quite sure what came over me there. I must be suffering from lack of car exhaust fumes or something :) you are clearly right, down with all this health and happiness stuff and nonsense!

I think our SNT must all be fans of Solid Snake as I can't remember the last time I saw one on the beat.

Speaking of the Two Wheeled Peril, it'd be nice if TFL could spend a few quid and get some Boris Bikes for ED

Am sorry to hear about the mugging, people carry around their life on their phones, and the shock at being robbed can deeply affect you. My wife has suffered racial abuse six times already this year, half of the occasions were in or close by ED. We thought the resurgence in public displays of racism fuelled by Brexit had gone away, but sadly not. Most of the instances were by other women and absolutely horrible. A woman sitting opposite her started speaking a mockery of Cantonese at her on the bus on Friday, when ignored she continued, getting even more aggressive when my wife politely told her that she's Japanese in fact and does speak perfect English. Makes me equally sad and angry that nobody else on the bus did anything.

While it sickens me to hear about yet another bung taken by the corrupt Southwark Council, and their messing with peoples sheds must be infuriating and cause nothing but inconvenience, I do hope this company soon rolls out their service to regular streets around ED. We had fibre in Japan back in 2003, years before it was available in the UK and it was fantastic. Of course, South Korea was way ahead of Japan in implementing fibre and they really know how to go about providing it in a sustainable and upgradeable manner so fingers crossed their trial does indeed prompt them to become a viable, long term alternative to Sky and BT. Wish Sky could deliver fibre to the door, am still on regular broadband and would love to be able to cut out the need for a landline.

Indeed; here's a picture of it in case it's no longer there https://imgur.com/a/uTQtZdi

Man stabbed killed lordship lane / East Dulwich grove
se22cat replied to northdulmum's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
First of all, I'd just like to say how sorry I am that this has happened; we live a minute away from the location and my thoughts go out to the man's family. Regarding how the area has changed; despite the increase in muggings, personally, I feel the area seems a lot safer in the past year compared to the previous five. The number of habitual substance abusers hanging around the Goose Green area, many of which would aggressively harass people for money has significantly dropped, which I assume must be down to one or more of the crack houses being shut down by the police. Of course, the loss of our local Police station and the rarity of actual beat cops has had a major impact in the rise of crime, violent or otherwise in the area. Perhaps due to ED losing it's "cool" status amongst the 18-25 year olds largely from outside the area not filling the pubs around Goose Green and the streets are less coated with vomit and there's definitely less of the odd nasty fight on the way home waking me up. With the drop in younger people with disposable incomes and hungry nostrils, the previous abundance of street dealers have all but abandoned the area and seem to just drop in to do business by car these days. As a frequent late night customer of the store in question, encounters with aggressive beggars, more often than not seemingly with brains fried on long term skunk and alcohol abuse are unfortunately and annoyingly a very regular occurrence, it's no wonder the people working there look stressed during the night shifts. -

I hope you're OK, Harry! I'll see if the shovel is still in the gritbin, thanks Abe! -

You're most welcome, more pride hurt than anything, luckily, thank's for the kind words :) I did find a traffic cone to give some sort of warning and put it in the dangerous area late last night, but the nearby builders may well have reclaimed it by now. -
No 36 has had a water leak for at least 2 weeks and the landlord has only just bothered to call his repairman. I went t*ts over arse this morning and fell really bad due to ice that had formed which #i failed to see, thanks to the lovely young lady who stopped and asked if I was OK and only moved on when she saw I was walking again, I must have looked like I was in shock. As I walked further up, I heard two other people slip and fall too. Will look and see if I can find a road cone to put outside the property as there's still water leaking.

Lordship Lane Veterinary Surgery - Any good?

Very sorry to hear about your loss, Galileo :( -
My wife just got back from the West End, and the 176 went on quite the merry diversion, adding an extra 30 minutes or so to the journey.

Is there any more we can do about dog poo?
se22cat replied to aandl's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yup, I absolutely love dogs, but anyone allowing that on a daily basis may not also be caring for their pooch properly either. Considering how many toddlers there are around the area these days, it's pretty dangerous and I wish some of our council tax got spent on clearing up Goose Green and keeping it sustainably safe and clean for both dog owners and parents of young children. -

Another HUGE pile of dog poo on almost the same spot as it appears every day, absolutely gargantuan in size, one of many others on Frogley Road, screw these people! -

So the P13 is diverted from the back roads to opposite the Job Centre, then stops at Peckham Library before going on to the bus station if you are going towards Peckham. Coming from Peckham to ED, from the bus station it goes back down to the Job Centre/Academy, then rejoins the side roads going back to normal from Bellenden Road. Both drivers said the works will take up almost all this year!

Is the P13 affected at the moment going to Morrisons?

That bench is legit handy though as that bus stop does get busy. Sadly some retard/s have badly damaged it over the festive period.

Made me chuckle, thanks for sharing that :)
